Zachary''s sharp gaze fell on his daughter''s face, but he did not look at Ernest in a hurry. He felt that
his daughter had something on her mind.
After she turned twelve years old, she would not tell adults if she had bothering her.
Such was a sign that she had grown up.
Zachary knew in his heart that it was inevitable for his daughter to grow up. He knew that she would
have her own world when she grew older, and she would no longer share things with her parents.
He could no longer guess what she was thinking.
This was not a good feeling.
Now, Maria had to leave the country for Ennd to study. This was her choice. The sudden decision
caught him off guard.
His absence before she was five made Zachary feel even more sorry for his daughter. He had
always loved her and doted on her more than his youngest son.
Now, she was going to leave with worries on her mind. He was a bit concerned.
Yvonne turned her head and saw Ernest walking towards them along with Grace and Heinz. She
immediately smiled and reached out to pull Zachary.
It was only then that Zachary looked away.
"Ernest, you''re here," Maria greeted him enthusiastically. She let go of her father''s arm and walked
towards him, all while also greeting her rtives, "Aunt Grace, Uncle Heinz."
"Maria, you''ve arrived so early," Grace reached to hold Maria''s hand and said to Ernest, "Ernest,
when you arrive in Ennd, you need to take good care of her."
With a faint smile, Ernest nodded with a calm expression, "Mommy, I will."
Maria looked up at him, and he seemed different from yesterday.
It was probably because he had been angry yesterday, which was a rare sight.
Now, Ernest had returned to his normal poker face. He looked very calm, as if nothing had
happened.
Maria pouted and smiled at Ernest, "Ernest, thank you."
"You''re wee, Maria," Ernest said lightly, ncing at Maria with a sparkle in his eyes.
Maria shrugged and shot him a bright smile, asking, "Why hasn''t Celestee yet? Has she
contacted you?"
"No, not yet." Ernest replied calmly.
"Oh," Maria thought about it and found that it made sense. Celeste was now aware of the
boundaries she should set, so it was reasonable that she would not contact Ernest first. If she
wanted to contact him, she would contact Maria first. With that, Maria suggested, "Then I''ll call her."
"Are you talking about Celeste White?" Grace asked.
"Yep," Maria picked up the phone and dialed Celeste''s number, "Hello, Celeste, where are you?"
"At the entrance of the airport," Celeste said, "It won''t be long till I get to the departure hall."
"Hurry up, we''re all here," Maria said.
"Okay, I''ll be right there," Celeste replied with a crisp voice.
After hanging up the phone, Maria found that Grace was staring at her. She was very surprised and
asked, "What''s wrong, Aunt Grace?"
"You three are going to Ennd together, and Gary is alone in the United States. Why don''t you
guys study together?" Grace sighed, and she was rather exasperated at this matter.
Ernest was stunned. He looked at his mother, and there was an apologetic look in his eyes.
Maria grinned, "Aunt Grace, you can only say that Gary and Ernest are too strong-willed. Since they
want to be apart, this is the only way everyone can be happy."
Then, she turned to look at Ernest.
Ernest gave Maria a warning nce.
Maria stuck out her tongue and retorted, "I didn''t say anything wrong. You insisted on going to
Ennd, while Gary insisted on going to the United States. Both of you are too self-centered, don''t
you agree?"
Ernest raised his eyebrows and chuckled, "Maria, why are you so determined to go to Ennd?
Before that, you didn''t want to further your studies, but you suddenly changed your mind. There
must be some reason, right?"
As soon as he finished her sentence, all the adults looked at Maria.
Maria secretly realized that something was wrong.
She pursed her lips and looked at Ernest with anger.
Seeing that she was angry, Ernest''s smile became even warmer. He continued to expose her, "Is
there something or someone in Ennd that is particrly attractive?"
"Of course not. What are you talking about?" In an instant, Maria became furious and retorted
loudly.
This reaction was so fast that Zachary and Yvonne were both stunned and felt a little surprised.
Zachary almost instantly cast his eyes on his daughter.
Maria felt guilty after being stared at by all the adults. However, she quickly regainedposure
and smiled warmly.
"Why are you so quick to refute?" Ernest continued asking with a sly smile.
Maria grinned back wryly, "Ernest, since you and Celeste are both in Ennd, of course I''ll go to
Ennd. If I go to the United States and study with Gary, I''ll be bored to death. If I go with you and
Maria, the three of us can apany each other and motivate each other to study. Doesn''t that
sound good?"
Hearing Maria''s words, Ernest returned the smile that didn''t reach his eyes. He turned around and
looked in the direction of the gate of the departure hall.
"Maria, I am really honored to have you follow me like this."
"Ernest, thank you in advance for your future care," After Maria finished speaking, sheughed out
loud.

As she looked at her parents, their expressions seemed to be a little better.
Maria took a deep breath and smiled at her parents. She had to hold on a little longer. After she
arrived overseas, she would no longer have to act.
She was afraid that her parents would worry about her.
"No problem, Maria," Ernest smirked before walking to the door.
"Where are you going?" When Heinz saw Ernest leaving, he immediately frowned and asked.
Grace also looked towards the entrance and saw Celeste apanied by a woman. They were
walking over with a suitcase.
She was carrying a backpack on her slim shoulders. Meanwhile, the adult woman beside her was
pushing a cart containing several suitcases.
Ernest was walking towards them.
"Celeste is here," Grace quickly exined, "Ernest went to wee her."
Heinz looked in the direction in which Ernest was heading and narrowed his eyes slightly. He asked
a whileter, "That''s her?"
From Heinz''s tone of voice, Grace knew that he was being too dismissive of the young girl.
Grace nced at him and warned softly, "Don''t scare her. This girl might be your future daughter-in-
law."
Heinz frowned. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Celeste, saying, "It''s a little too early."
"Do you think you''re still young?" Grace naturally understood his feelings and sighed, "You''re
already forty, aren''t you?"
"Forty is the right age to be," Heinz still imed himself to be an extraordinary person and boasted,
"Haven''t you heard? 40 is the new 30."
"If you consider yourself young, what about Ernest, Maria, and the others?"
Heinz shot back calmly, "They are still newborns."
"Uncle Heinz," Maria looked at him with disdain and refuted, "If we are newborns, then you''re no
longer young either. Your life is half over now."
"Maria," Yvonne hurriedly stopped her daughter from speaking.
As a response, Maria stuck out her tongue.
Heinz onlyughed heartily, "I passed half of my life, but so has your father. Zachary, did you hear
that? Your daughter only wants us to live until eighty."
