Chapter 1232
"Stop joking around," Celeste didn''t like the way Ernest was joking around. She stared at him and
said, "If I really persuade your brother to go to Ennd, will the three of us not be separated?"
Ernest was in a daze. He could only stare at her in a daze. After a long while, he smiled and
nodded, "Yes, if you can convince my brother, the three of us can study abroad together and be
good friends."
Celeste nodded, "Okay, I''ll think of a way to convince Gary by today."
"I hope so," Ernest smirked and raised a cup of yogurt at her, "Come, let''s toast."
"Cheers," Celeste also raised her yogurt cup at him.
Celeste''s eyes were filled with determination when their cups touched. She nned to persuade
Gary by hook or by crook.
When she entered the ssroom, Gary wasn''t there.
She took out her phone and dialed his number. However, the phone was connected but no one
answered.
Celeste froze for a moment and continued to call him again.
Yet, she had called him three times, but no one picked up.
She was quite puzzled, with no idea what Gary was doing and why he didn''t pick up.
With no choice, Celeste had to go look for Maria.
"Maria, where''s Gary? He was with you just now. Why did he suddenly disappear? And he''s not in
the ssroom either!"
"I don''t know," Maria shrugged, "He''s just acting strange. Since you went to look for Ernest, I think
he must be mad at you."
"Why is he angry? Ernest is his younger brother. How can he let Ernest go to Ennd alone? Let''s
just go together. I''ll go persuade Gary. It''s either that the three of us go to Ennd together, or we
go to the United States together."
"What?" Maria eximed in shock, "So that''s how it is. Celeste White, I truly adore you. You''re
seriously heaven-sent to infuriate Gary, haha!"
"Why are you alsoughing?" Celeste was very puzzled and tried to argue, "I am already quite
anxious. Can''t you help me persuade them?" "I can''t," Maria shook her head after getting her fair
share ofughs, "I have known them for more than ten years. They''ve always been as stubborn as
a mule. I''ve already given up. You can''t change their decision but you can change yours. It''s
impossible for the two of them to go together, so you have to choose one. You are too greedy if you
want both."
"No, I''m not. I don''t want them in that way. I just think it''s better for us to study together," Celeste
insisted.
"Oh, okay," Maria once again breathed a sigh of relief, "I admit that you are quite cute and innocent.
Though, I''m pretty sure you might have damaged your brain with all the books you read. Yes, I''m
talking about you, you wise and dumb girl."
"Don''t tell me riddles like that, I don''t understand a single word you say," Celeste shook her head.
She was just trying to get the three of them to study together, "You should help me."
"Fine, I agree to help you. Come, let''s go find my dear cousin Gary."
Celeste immediately cheered up and smiled happily at Maria, "That''s great. Let''s go find him
together."
The two of them searched for a long time in the school for the entire afternoon, but Gary was
nowhere to be found.
Soon, it was time for ss. Maria had to attend ss, so Celeste had to go find him by herself.
Finally, she found Gary on top of a tree.
His lean and built figure was lyingzily on a tree branch. No one knew what was going on in his
mind, but he didn''t seem like he was bored.
Sometimes, Celeste felt a heartache when she saw how lonely he was.
For instance, Celeste felt a little stuffy when she saw this guy lying on that tree alone that very
moment.
She furrowed her dark brows and slightly tidied her clothes up before calling out, "Gary?"
The boy sitting on top of the tree didn''t move and only looked into the distance. His tone was faint
as he said, "If you''re here to advise me to do something, you can forget about it."
Celeste was stunned for a moment and asked, "Why?"
"No reason. I''m just trying to tell you that you shouldn''t try to persuade me," Gary finally came down
from the tree.
He was agile and it seemed very easy for him toe down. After jumping down, he stood in front
of Celeste and looked at her. His eyes were sharp and somewhat slightly oppressive.
"You... Do you know the reason why I am looking for you?" Celeste took a few steps back, a hint of
surprise in her tone.
"You want Ernest to go to the United States with you."
"That''s not it," Celeste shook her head and said, "The three of us can go to the United States and
study together. We can look after each other, am I right?"
She truly felt that they were ssmates and they were destined to study together. It was more like
fate to be able to skip grades together and to study abroad together.
However, the smile that appeared in Gary''s eyes was somewhat cold and distant.
For some reason, Celeste felt a bit chilly and she was having goosebumps.
The next second, she heard Gary''sughter. It was terrifying and even slightly unfriendly. His gaze
fell on her face and it felt like a pair of invisible hands were choking her, making it hard to breathe.
She felt a little ufortable.
Celeste was a little afraid of his gaze. Sheforted herself that she had to stay calm and not be
frightened.
Why would she be afraid of Gary?
However, every time Gary looked at her, she felt as if someone was choking her by the throat.
It was almost suffocating.
Even so, she still couldn''t help but want to grow closer to him.
This was because she felt that Gary was very lonely.
Although he was part of the crowd, he gave off this sense of loneliness.
Celeste pursed her lips and mustered up her courage to make herself look fearless, "Why are you
laughing? Can you speak properly?"
Gary looked at her with a charming smile that carried a hint of unfriendliness, "Are you telling me
that you had no one to take care of you before we knew each other? Miss White, if you enjoy living
in groups so much, why did you want to leave and go to the United States? ording to my
knowledge, you have been growing up in Canada up until you were ten before you came back."
Celeste froze for a second. When her eyes met his cold and fierce gaze, her heart suddenly
thumped loudly.
She was displeased, but she tried her best and concealed the confusion and anger in her eyes.
"Alright, even if it isn''t because of me and you don''t have the responsibility to take care of me,
shouldn''t you go abroad with your brother together to take care of each other?" Celeste suddenly
found that Gary was indifferent and nonchnt.
"My little brother doesn''t have any objections. Why do you have such a strong opinion about it?"
Gary questioned her back mercilessly.
Celeste''s gaze was trembling, and so were her long thick eyshes. She could see the sarcasm
oozing in his eyes.
However, in the blink of an eye, Gary turned his gaze into the distance.
Celeste sighed and added softly, "I just thought that everyone would be happier if we were to study
together. I thought that we were friends, and I just couldn''t bear to see your brother going to
Ennd all alone. That is why I am here to persuade you, hoping that we would either follow him toN?velDrama.Org ? content.
Ennd together, or he would follow us to the United States together. But it seems like I am too
naive."
