    Heinz checked the caller ID and realized that Alice was calling. He quickly answered the phone. "Alice?"


    “Heinz, is my mother dead?" Alice''s trembling voice sounded over the phone.


    Heinz was stunned. "Who told you?"


    "Jensen''s mother," Alice said. "My mother-inw."


    Heinz had a feeling that it wasn''t Jensen who told her, so how did Aunt Brooks know about it?


    It seemed like Jensen might have told her. Then again, it was not the time to pursue that matter now.


    Heinz could only tell Alice the truth. "Yes, your mother has passed away.”


    "Uh!" Alice took a deep breath. After a slight pause, she calmed down. However, she still sounded a little emotional. "Heinz, does


    my sister know about this?"


    "Yes, she knows," Heinz said. "Alice, don''t worry. | understand your feelings. Your sister is afraid that you will be sad, and that is


    why she didn''t dare to tell you. There is no way to bring someone back from the dead. I''m sorry for your loss." "Heinz, my mother


    died miserably, didn''t she? Was she murdered?" Alice asked again.

    Heinz hung up the phone and turned to look at his father. He was quite emotional right now. He held the letter given by Candace


    in his hands while tears streamed down his face. He was incredibly upset.


    Heinz sighed and said, "Now that you know the truth, don''t give up on yourself. She wants you to live well. She hopes you will


    spend your remaining years in peace andfort. You don''t have to be depressed."


    "| shouldn''t have," Lawrence muttered. His voice was restored, but he felt extremely regretful. "I shouldn''t have treated her like


    this."


    Heinz smiled bitterly and did not say anything.

    There was no way to turn back time.


    He turned to look out of the window, his eyes full of regret and unwillingness. He felt a little unfair for his mother who had died of

    "President Jones, where are we heading?" Alex was driving. He had no idea where he was suppose to drive Lawrence. Should


    he send Lawrence home?


    "| want to get down from the car." Lawrence said, "I think | should head back to the hotel. Why don''t you stop me by the side of


    the road?"


    Heinz thought for a moment and finally said to Alex, "Why don''t you drop him off at the hotel?"


    "Alright!"


    The car soon arrived at the entrance of the hotel. Heinz was the first to get out of the car as soon as it stopped.


    Lawrence got out of the car as well. The father and son stood outside the hotel, face to face. Lawrence looked at Heinz with


    tears in his eyes and said, "I..."


    He opened his mouth, but the words were stuck in his throat. He did not know what to say.


    After all, he had made a lot of mistakes in the past. Lawrence felt guilty when he came face to face with his son. When the words

    my mother died because of depression which was caused by you. Candacemitted suicide because of you. Regardless,


    these two women had deep feelings for you. You have failed my mother and Candace. My only hope now is that you will not let


    yourself down in the future." Heinz had regained hisposure. He tried his best to be gentle.


    Lawrence looked at his son''s expression and knew that he was suffering inside. He nodded and said, "Okay, we''ll get in touch
