Chapter 534
Ernest raised his head to look at Grace in confusion. His pair of big eyes were wet from the tears,
making him look more adorable. He was a pretty child, thus his eyes were able to melt people''s hearts.
Grace hugged him tightly and gently caressed his back.
"Mommy, I''ll take care of you in the future. Both Gary and I will take care of you." Ernest struggled out
from Grace''s embrace, saying, "Mommy, wait for me."
Heinz feltforted but sour at the same time. "Hey kiddo, taking care of Mommy is my duty."
"You are not doing it well," Ernest spat, and then, he was gone.
Heinz felt hurt again and he looked at Grace.

Grace was also gazing back at him.
"Are you happy?" Heinz asked.
"I''m happy," Grace nodded. "He has been so protective of me instead of ming me. I''m d but guilty
at the same time."
"As the saying goes, blood is thicker than water," Heinz said.
As he said that, he nudged Grace''s butt to the side and grabbed Grace by her waist fiercely. He pulled
her into his embrace and hugged her tightly.
"Not too tight," Grace reminded him.
"No wonder people said that mothers are the best in the world. It turned out to be true," Heinz said.
"There''s an affinity between a mother and her son. You and your sons are the perfect examples."
"Are you not happy?" Grace asked as she pulled herself away from Heinz''s broad chest. She raised
her eyebrows at Heinz''s displeased look. "Why do I feel that you are jealous?"
"I am jealous. The child that I raised is standing on the same battle line with you and is annoyed with
me."
"Do you really think that you don''t deserve to be rejected?" Grace asked indifferently.
Heinz was flustered and hung his head low instantly. He said, "Alright, fine. I deserve it. I didn''t do my
duty well."
Although Heinz admitted it, he felt an unspeakable bitterness and loss in his heart to see the son that
he had raised ming him.
"Alright, don''t be childish anymore." Graceughed when she noticed that he was feeling downcast.
She patted his shoulder and said, "To be frank, Heinz, you did a good job of raising Ernest. Instead, I
am the one that didn''t do it well. That''s why the child isn''t able to express his feelings confidently due to
his insecurities, but overall, Ernest is doing great. Thank you, Heinz."
Heinz was dumbfounded as he looked at Grace. She was thanking him instead.
"Both of them dislike me," Heinz said, sounding very aggrieved. "These two kiddos are starting to be
annoyed with me more and more. They are acting
like they are my father and I''m their son."
"You are a son in the first ce," Grace burst intoughter. There were some hints of ridicule in her
words, thus Heinz''s face darkened. She quickly continued, "But you are your father''s son, and they are
your sons. This fact will never change. If it does, it would be against human nature."
"You are ridiculing me," Heinz pulled Grace into his arms again and held her tightly. He didn''t want to
let her go as he moved closer towards her. His deep voice whispered into her ears, "Do you know the
consequences of mocking me?"
"What?" Grace didn''t seem to be afraid of anything as she looked into Heinz''s ming eyes boldly.
Then, she suddenly panicked.
Heinz''s handsome face was close in front of her eyes.
The gap between their lips was only five centimeters apart. If he moved closer by just a bit, he could
kiss Grace.
Grace took a deep breath. Her eyes met with his, and she quickly dodged it.
Heinz reached out instantly, and his finger lifted Grace''s chin gently, forcing her to look straight at him.
"What are you doing? Move your hand away," Grace said softly.
"The door is still open and Ernest will be back soon."
Heinz observed her blushing red face and snorted a heartyugh. He said, "Are you scared now? Let
me tell you what the consequences are."
He kept a two- centimeter gap away from her. Whenever he spoke, Grace could feel his breath on her
face. He breathed, "I will eat you!"
Grace shut her eyes as her face burnt up into a crimson red shade.
She didn''t have the mood for such a thing. She tried to pull his hand away, but he grasped her hand
instead and kept her hand in hisrge palm.
"Are you feeling shy?" Heinzughed gruffly. "If it wasn''t for Little Gary, I would have eaten you much
earlier. Although it''s good to have a son, it can be a bad thing too. Sons protect their mother well thus I
couldn''t have a bite of you then."
Grace listened with embarrassment and helplessness. This man was too frank with his words.
"If you continue saying these kinds of words, I will tell Little Gary," Grace warned.
Heinz''s smile gradually froze on his face, and he shook his head hurriedly. "You can''t tell Little Gary.
He''s filled with all sorts of dissatisfactions with me now. It just so happens that I can''t beat or scold him.
Every cell in my body is filled with guilt for that kid and you."
"Then, stop saying such jokes, regardless of the asion or time," Grace replied with a low voice.
"Look at you now. You are so lustful that you are out of your mind."
"What?" Heinz whispered in astonishment, "How dare you say that about me?"
Sheughed out loud and said, "I''m already saying it in a very kind manner. Look at you. You can''t
even win over a child." "I lost to my son willingly because I''m sure that I''m better than him." Heinz
smiled faintly, coupled with a father''s pride. "He''s good, but I''m better."
He wasn''t angry because of how the child treated him. Although it was frustrating, he did it willingly.
However, in general, Heinz felt that this was also another kind of happiness. He wanted to destroy this
happiness as he pulled Grace into his embrace. He sighed with a low voice, saying, "I just don''t know
when that child will finally call me ''Dad''. I''m really looking forward to it."
Grace was flustered. Looking at Heinz''s dejected look, she felt helpless, "In fact, he had already
epted you a long time ago, but he cares about his image and still refuses to address you as ''Dad''.
However, don''t you think that he looks very simr to you when he is behaving arrogantly?"
"I''m not arrogant," Heinz immediately denied. "I''m the type that has a better psychological quality."
"That''s called being thick-skinned," Grace replied.
Heinz was exasperated, "Can you stop hurting me too? If I''m always hurt, I''ll get sick and I might
change in the end."
"Then, I shall thank you," Grace snorted without showing any sympathy.
If Heinz was really going to change, then she could also take a rest. She felt really tired because she
hadn''t slept well for a few nights.
"Hmmph, you wish." Heinz immediately said domineeringly, "Those little guys don''t allow me to eat you
during the day, thus I''ll savor you tonight."
Seeing Heinz''s proud expression, Grace felt helpless and smiled.
The moment Heinz saw her smile, he couldn''t help lowering his head to kiss Grace.
At that moment, Ernest ran in and pulled Heinz away immediately. He snuggled into Grace''s embrace
and said, "Mommy, don''t let Daddy kiss you anymore. Look at the money that I have been saving."
Grace blushed as soon as they were separated. Heinz was annoyed too and he red at his son.
However, Ernest couldn''t be bothered to nce at him and showed Grace the money he had been
saving.
