Chapter 417
Brother-inw?
Heinz Jones was in a state of confusion. He frowned and stared at his mobile phone before ncing at
Grace. He continued to furrow his eyebrows and asked the person on the other end of the line, "Are
you sure you''re Alice Smith?"
Alice was perplexed.
"Yes, I''m Alice," Alice answered.
"That''s impossible," Heinz replied in a low voice.
Alice would not suddenly regard him as her ''brother-inw''. This was too strange.
"Why not?" Alice retorted, "You don''t believe that I''m Alice?"
"Yes." Heinz admitted and added, "You aren''t Alice."
"Oh my god!" Alice eximed, "Then who am I if I''m not Alice? Have you lost your mind?"
Meanwhile, Grace was taken aback too. Why did it feel like Heinz was doubting her sister?
Grace could not help but whisper, "That''s my sister. It''s my sister''s phone number."
Heinz frowned when he heard Grace''s exnation. He was still a little uncertain.
"Are you sure that you''re Alice?" Heinz asked.
"Well, Heinz." Alice did not know how she should react to Heinz''s response. She exined helplessly,
"You''re shocked because I said you''re my brother-inw, right?"
Heinz was a little embarrassed but Heinz did not show it. He snorted softly and asked, "Go ahead,
what do you want?"
Heinz had an inexplicably hunch that Alice had ulterior motives.
Err!
No!
It was rude for him to doubt his own future sister-inw like that.
Heinz coughed and cleared his throat. "I mean you can just tell me if you need anything."
Alice was at a loss for words while holding onto her mobile phone. She wanted to kick Heinz but she
held back because she had a favor to ask.
"Well, Heinz," Alice answered, "I do have something to ask you."
"Speak." Heinz was very straightforward.
"Is my sister beside you?" Alice did not want to frighten her sister.
"Of course." Heinz stole a nce at Grace and then said to her, "Grace, make me a cup of tea, please.
It''s your sister. I was worried it wasn''t her."
"That''s great." Grace heaved a sigh of relief and added, "Give me a minute."
Heinz waited for Grace to go to the kitchen and asked Alice, "What happened?"
"Well, don''t tell my sister but I encountered some problems today," Alice answered.
N?velDrama.Org holds ? this.
Heinz was taken aback. His expression turned solemn and he asked seriously, "What''s going on?"
"I was assaulted," Alice exined, "It was Jensen''s enemy. I''m telling you because I''m worried that
someone might harm my sister and my nephew. I''m letting you know so that you could hire people to
protect them."
"No problem." Heinz agreed swiftly. He asked, "Are you injured?"
"I''m fine," Alice replied, "I''m with Jensen right now."
"Ask him to call meter," Heinz asked, "Do you know who assaulted you?"
"I think Jensen knows."
"Okay," Heinz immediately replied in a resolute manner, "I''m going to Hart Vi District for you guys
now."
"Huh? You''reing over now?" Alice was startled. "It''s sote though."
"I''ll be worried if I don''t go," Heinz replied in a low voice.
"But my sister will be worried."
"I won''t tell her," Heinz assured.
"Okay."
After hanging up the call, Heinz nced at Grace, who was boiling water in the kitchen to prepare
some tea.
Heinz walked over to Grace and uttered, "Grace, I''m heading out for a bit. Don''t open the door if
anyone else knocks."
"I know." Grace turned over her shoulder to stare at him. She was surprised and asked, "Where are
you going?"
"Your sister suddenly regarded me as her brother-inw." Heinz looked a little excited and his face was
a little flushed. "I want to check if it''s really her."
Grace was baffled.
Grace snapped back to her senses and stared at Heinz in disbelief. She asked, "You''re dropping by
just because Alice called you her brother-inw?"
Naturally, there was more to it.
However, Heinz did not want to worry Grace.
"I''ll go and check on her. I think it''s very worthwhile after she acknowledged me as her brother-inw."
Grace was at the verge of bursting intoughter.
How could Heinz be so adorable? No wonder he questioned Alice''s identity.
It seemed that Alice had gotten over it.
Grace said, "If you want to go, then go ahead."
"Wait for me." Heinz stepped forward and hugged Grace. He lowered his head and whispered in her
ear, "It''s not easy to be epted by your sister. I''ll have to cherish this opportunity of being your man."
Grace burst intoughter. "Okay, suit yourself."
As soon as Heinz went downstairs, he called Alex, "Send two bodyguards to Emerald Apartment to
protect Grace and the kids."
"Yes!" Alex made the arrangements swiftly.
Heinz drove to Hart Vi District and knocked on Jensen''s door. As soon as the door opened, he
spotted Alice standing by the door. She was wearing a set of sportswear and her face was very
swollen.
Heinz''s face darkened when he saw Alice. He came in and asked without further ado, "Who hit you?"
Alice stared at him and said, "You really came."
"Of course, you just acknowledged me as your brother-inw and I should cherish it. It''s a difficult thing
to be epted by you." Heinz closed the door and checked on Alice. He did not spot any other injuries
except her swollen face.
Heinz heaved a sigh of relief but he was furious.
Grace''s sister was assaulted because of Jensen and that made Heinz''s blood boil.
Alice was a little embarrassed by Heinz''s remarks.
She exhaled and said apologetically, "Well, I''m sorry that I treated you like that previously."
"It doesn''t matter," Heinz asked, "Does your face hurt?"
Alice shrugged and flexed her neck. She retorted, "Would you believe me if I say it doesn''t?"
"Of course not." Heinz walked to the sofa and nced around the room. He asked with a frown,
"Where''s Jensen?"
"He''s making some phone calls and making arrangements in the study. It''s been half an hour."
"Have you eaten dinner?" Heinz nced at the food on the table. The package was still sealed and it
was likely that she had yet to eat.
"No," Alice replied honestly.
"You should eat something. I''ll go talk to Jensen." Heinz walked to the study.
Alice stared at Heinz''s tall figure as he strode towards the study swiftly. Alice pressed her lips together.
It seemed nice to have a brother-inw.
Alice smiled and her mood improved.
Previously, she was too worried that her sister would be mistreated. However, she realized that Heinz
was not that bad after all.
He was not only nice to her sister but he cared about her too.
Alice was relieved.
Heinz arrived at the study but he could not be bothered to knock and kicked his way in.
Jensen was on the phone when Heinz barged in. He frowned when he spotted Heinz and asked, "Why
are you here?"
