    Alice did not expect Carl to be so arrogant. She red at Carl. She was stubborn and unwilling to admit


    defeat.


    Carl''s face froze when Alice red at him. He tightened his grip on her chin and his gaze was sharp.

    "What?" Carl snorted, "You''re not giving in?"

    "No one answered."


    "That''s strange. I''ll try calling her." Grace quickly hung up the phone call and dialed Alice''s number.


    The call was connected and someone picked up shortly after.


    "Sister!"


    Alice''s voice was a little hoarse and she seemed to be upset.

    "Nothing happened?" Grace asked tentatively.

    "Then what''s wrong with you?" Grace was still concerned. "Alice, I''m your sister. Why don''t youe


    home first? You shouldn''t stay out sote." "Sister, I''m fine. I''m just depressed," Alice gave a long sigh


    and continued, "I think I can''t be Jensen''s girlfriend."


    "Why would you say that? Weren''t you two getting along fine?" Grace felt that there was something
