Chapter 389
Marry Smith seemed at a loss for words all of a sudden.
She choked and said, "Mom, thank you. I know that you love me dearly. I''ll think of another way.1''
"Good girl. No matter what happens, your father and I will only acknowledge you as our daughter-in-
"Thank you."
Hanging up the phone, Marry slumped against the lounge chair outside the mall. She looked at the
sunset, destion filling her heart.
After a while, she received a call from Attorney Grayson.
"Miss Smith, I have just heard about what happened between Mr. Brown and you."
"What do you mean?" Marry panicked and asked hurriedly, "Attorney Grayson, how did you know?
What do you know?"
"Mr. Brown wants to file awsuit for divorce against you," Attorney Grayson remarked, "Would you like
to consider settling for the divorce? This will benefit everyone. You are now the head of Sunny Group,
and your reputation will be damaged. So I was thinking if both of you could agree to a divorce
settlement!"
"I won''t divorce him!" Marry shouted abruptly and hysterically, "I will never divorce him. Who do you
think you are? How dare you ask me to agree to divorce him!"
Attorney Grayson was shocked and he replied, "I was merely giving you a suggestion. I most certainly
would not interfere with your decision."
"Leave me alone!" Marry cursed, "You son of a b*tch, how dare you! Who told you to speak to me?"
Attorney Grayson pulled his ear away from the phone, feeling as though he would be deaf due to
Marry''s ear-splitting roar.
He furrowed his brows, saying, "Miss Smith, if it weren''t for Mr. Smith''s sake, I wouldn''t have reminded
you of that. You can''t save your marriage anymore. It''s useless for you tosh out at me. Please wait
for thewsuit then."
After that, he hung up the phone, leaving no time for Marry to respond.
When Marry heard this, she got even more infuriated than she already was. She couldn''t help but hurl
her phone on the ground.
The screen shattered into pieces.
She sat on the lounge chair and didn''t move an inch for a long time.
Inside the mall.
Heinz Jones had taken Grace Smith to the pharmacy to buy some disinfectant and gauze. He then
helped her apply the bandage on her wound at the rest area.
Grace sat on the chair while Heinz scooched on the ground. Despite being in a squatting position, the
air surrounding Heinz''s tall, strong figure still seemed slightly oppressing.
At this moment, he was inspecting the wound on his woman''s hand, and this provoked even more rage
in him. Thinking of Marry''s condescending look earlier, he resisted the urge to strangle her to death.
Little by little, he applied the medicine gently on Grace''s wounds.
"Ah—" Grace felt a little sting from the disinfectant and took a deep breath.
Heinz instantly became more gentle and said softly, "Try to bear with it."
"I''m okay,” Grace immediately shook her head and said, "You don''t have to be so cautious."
Heinz looked up at her, his eyes full of helplessness and remorse. He questioned, "She grabbed you so
tightly, but why didn''t you gash her face?"
Grace was bbergasted and she didn''t know whether tough or cry, "I didn''t think of that."
"You''re always so good at picking fights with me, but when ites to her, you didn''t even know how to
take advantage of her," Heinzined while disinfecting her wounds, "You''re so stupid. Do you
know that?"
"Okay. I''m sorry. I guess I really am a little dumb," Grace responded, not denying it, "Next time, if there
is a next time, I''ll definitely fight back."
"Just cut her face," Heinz spoke in a deep voice, "Just disfigure her face."
Grace was rendered speechless.
Heinz was relentless. He raised his voice and asked, "Did you hearthat?"
Grace nodded hurriedly and answered, "Yes, I did."
"Don''t you dare try to give me that perfunctory nod again," the man said dominatingly.
Grace wasn''t ignorant. Knowing that he was doing this for her own good, she nodded and responded
cooperatively, "I know. Thank you, Mr. Jones."
"Don''t forget it next time," Heinz repeated as he applied gauze on her injury and taped it firmly. His
hand was still holding hers tenderly. He was warning her as though she was a child who suffered much
loss. He said, "For a shameless woman like her, you don''t have to save her face."
He held her hand in this position in a corner of the rest area, and this scene attracted the gaze of the
passers-by.
All because he had a vibe and temperament that could not be ignored.
Grace felt warm and fuzzy in her heart. She nodded and admitted, "I honestly wasn''t thinking so much,
but she definitely was angry because of the humiliation."
"If beating a woman wasn''t a cowardly act, I would haveid my hands on her today," Heinz spoke
sharply. He was enraged whenever he thought of it, even more so when he looked at Grace''s wound.
This pained him as hemented, "This wound will take a long time to recover."
"It''s okay," Grace shook her head, "It won''t end well for her too, acting in such manner today." "Let''s go
home," he said as he got up and packed the disinfectant.
"I haven''t bought clothes for the children yet," Grace responded.
Heinz was stunned. Raising his brows, he said, "You''re injured. Are you still thinking of buying clothes
for the children?"
"It''s just a minor injury," Grace said smilingly, "It''s not a big deal!"
"No," Heinz shook his head in disagreement, "Let''s go home now. We''ll buy it next week."
When Grace saw that he was serious, she quickly reached out and grabbed his arm, replying softly,
"Just this time. Now that we''re already out, you coulde with me, and well head home right after,
okay?"
She pouted and looked at him innocently. The look in her eyes was pleading as though she was using
coquetry to charm him.
Heinz''s heart throbbed and he almost lowered his head to give her a kiss.
He looked at Grace and finally gave in. He nodded and said, "Okay, let''s go and have a look now."
Carrying his shirt and the medicine, he took his phone out and called Alex Logan, "Bring my wallet and
card to the Danz Mall children''s clothing department. Grace and I are here."
"Okay!" Alex immediately replied, "President, I''ll be there in ten minutes."
"Okay!" Heinz hung up, ced the phone back into his pocket, and naturally held Grace''s hand.
The two of them got into the elevator together and went to the children''s clothing on the fifth floor.
When they arrived, they went shopping inside.
At first nce, a set of clothes caught Grace''s eyes. The top was a red sweater with alternating red-
ck patterns on the hoodie. The bottom was ck with some red essories, matching well with the
sweater, making it look very distinctive.
Grace said, "Why don''t we get this?"
"Red and ck," Heinzmented, "Isn''t it too striking?"
"I''m unsure why, but I just want something dazzling," she remarked while looking at the clothes, which
were all of premium grade. They felt so good on the skin and the thickness just right.
"Okay, I''ll listen to you," he answered.
Grace beamed, "Let''s get this then. They''re both of the same height so well get two sets of these.
People will definitely think that they''re twins if they were to wear the same clothes to the kindergarten."
"Yeah," he also smiled. Thinking of that scene, a fuzzy feeling rose in his heart, "Grace, thank you for
epting Ernest."
Shaking her head, Grace set her gaze at Heinz and said, "Do you know why I epted you so easily?"
"Huh?" He was puzzled and he questioned, "Why did you?"
"You adopted Ernest and took care of yourte friend''s parents. This shows that you are a good

person," Grace sighed deeply, "Although sometimes you have a short fuse, my temper isn''t any better
either. No one is perfect. Let''s learn to tolerate each other''s ws then, Mr. Jones."
Heinz looked at her. Her words were practical and realistic.
A flicker of struggle crossed his eyes and it soon disappeared. He looked at her intensely while leaning
forward, and whispered in her ear, "What should I do? I really want to kiss you now!"
