Chapter 352
Heinz crossed his legs and satfortably on the sofa.
Looking at his attitude, Alice''s eyes were full of anger. But when she saw Grace entering the kitchen, it
was obvious to her that Grace did not care at all. Then, she suddenly came to a realization.
She had involved herself in someone else''s business again.
At that moment, Alice was slightly stunned. She looked at Heinz who was ignoring her, and then at
Jensen who had a helpless look on his face. Although he did not speak, she could tell that he was no
help to her cause.
She took a deep breath, turned around and went into the kitchen.
Upon entering the kitchen, she nced at her Grace who was washing the vegetables. Alice kept quiet.
Grace turned around and saw her. She noticed that Alice was silent, so she knew that she was in a bad
mood.
Grace could only whisper, "Alice, don''t argue with him."
"I know." Alice''s tone was quite indifferent when she spoke, "I don''t care about this. It''s obvious from
your behavior that I really shouldn''t have behaved like that."
Grace was startled. She only felt that her sister might be a little disappointed. She looked at Alice again
and said, "You don''t have to think too much. I know you''re worried about me."
"Grace, I had an evening ss tonight. But since you asked me to pick Little Gary up, I came back
early. Now that I think about it, I feel like it’s better for me to go to ss," Alice said and looked at
Grace. She put on a small smile and continued, "In fact, it''s my fault. Don''t be angry."
"Do you really have a ss?" Grace was a little surprised.
Alice nodded and said, "Yes."
"Why didn''t you go to ss in the evening before?" Grace asked.
Alice did not respond to that. She merely looked at her sister and said, "Grace, Little Gary has found
his biological father. Although he is not very ideal, he wants to have Gary back into his life, so I am
relieved. From now on, I will attend my evening sses."
Grace was very surprised and she asked, "Did you skip the previous sses because you had to bring
Little Gary home?"
Alice smiled and replied, "It was only a few sses. There is indeed a ss today. I''ll cancel my leave
and go off now."
"Alice!" Grace called after her as she felt bad. In the past, had Alice forgone her sses just to bring
Little Gary home?
Alice turned around, looked at her sister and smiled, "Grace, I''m happy that you understand my
thoughts. I''m just wishing the best for you."
"I understand," Grace nodded. "Of course, I know you''re well-intentioned."
Alice smiled at her again and turned to leave.
She came out of the kitchen, took the bag and went out.
Jensen was very surprised. Seeing hering out, he quickly caught up with her. He asked, "Alice,
where are you going?"
Heinz was also stunned, "What are you going to do?"
Grace came out of the kitchen as well and saw Alice leaving without looking back.
Jensen quickly caught up with Alice and the door closed. The house instantly fell into an
unprecedented silence.
Heinz was still dumbfounded and he raised his head to look at Grace.
He asked Grace in surprise, "Is it because of me?"
N?velDrama.Org owns this.
Grace shook her head and turned back into the kitchen again without a word.
Just then, Heinz also stood up and followed her into the kitchen. He stood at the door and looked at
Grace, saying, "Grace, urn, I''m sorry."
Initially, he had not wanted to apologize, but it was he who had pushed her sister away.
"It doesn''t have anything to do with you," Grace shook her head. "You don''t have to apologize."
"But it seems that it''s about me," Heinz said as he was very self-aware. "If I have just let her make fun
of me, she wouldn''t have left. However, I simply couldn''t hold it back."
"Heinz," Grace suddenly stopped what she was doing and looked at Heinz with tears in her eyes. She
said, "My sister is doing this for me. She is the person who cares about me the most in the world.
Although Little Gary loves me, he is still a child who needs his father''s love. Hisck of a father''s love is
constantly on his mind. Alice is different; all she cares about is my happiness."
Heinz was stunned to hear this. He then said, "Grace, I care about you too. I care more about you than
your sister does."
"No!" Grace shook her head and said, "No, you don''t agree with it but this is not up for dispute. I just
want you to know that if Alice''s words are too excessive or inappropriate, it''s because she really cares
for me. If you really like me, please treat her better, okay?"
Heinz stared at Grace deeply. After a long while, he nodded and promised, "I''ll treat her better in the
future."
Grace lowered her head, paused, and took a deep breath.
She was the only one who understood Alice''s intentions. Alice was just too concerned about her.
"Grace, I promise," Heinz said seriously again. "I will take her feelings into consideration, but I hope
you can understand me in some ways too."
Grace frowned and raised her gaze to look at him with a little hesitation.
They stood facing each other.
About two meters apart.
The sun was setting in the west, and the golden rays shone through the window, creating a mask of
golden light on Heinz''s face.
His gaze was deep; his eyes were sincere.
Grace saw it clearly.
After a long time, she nodded and said, "I know none of us is perfect. Perhaps your words may have an
unexpected result."
"What?" Heinz was confused. He didn''t quite understand what Grace meant.
"I believe in you," Grace suddenly said again.
Heinz was stunned once again, and his eyes were full of excitement. He called in disbelief, "Grace?"
They looked into each other''s eyes.
Heinz thought silently for a while and then walked up to Grace.
"Grace," Heinz called out again.
This time, he had spoken in a low and husky voice.
The words "I believe in you" were so precious to him.
Grace watched as he walked up to her and she said, "I''ve decided to work harder for our rtionship.
For the sake of my child and myself, I won''t ask for anything else. All I ask is for you to not deceive my
feelings and to respect me. I am an independent person."
"So, if you want to be with me, you need to learn to respect me."
Then she continued, "I will also try to understand you. The journey at hand is still long. Regardless of
how it''ll end, I hope that we can respect each other."
"Is that okay?"
She looked up at Heinz. Her eyes were full of sincerity and her tone was calm and rational.
Heinz looked back at her and nodded. "Of course."
"Thank you," Grace smiled slightly.
"Hey, you just said that it''s not necessarily a bad thing for me to drive your sister away. What do you
mean?" Heinz probed again.
"Did Jensen went after her?" Grace asked.
"Yes," Heinz nodded. Almost at the same time, he finally understood and said with a smile, "I know
what you mean now."
"This is a good thing for Jensen," Grace exined.
Heinz raised his eyebrows and said, "Tell me, do you think Alice wille back tonight?"
About that, Grace was actually unsure.
"Why do I have a feeling that she will note back tonight?" Heinz uttered as he sincerely hoped that
Alice would not return that night.
