Chapter 830
Chapter 830 The contract expires
It’s as if the person just disappeared out of thin air.
Even the house she lived in was empty.
Ad no longer had any support. She was penniless, living in a park.,
After another night in the park, Ad decided that she needed to end this and walked to Melissa’s
could making a living somehow instead of being an outcast.
The security guard at the entrance of the building stopped her and said, “If you want food, go to the
side. Charity donations start at 5pm.”
“I want to see Melissa. Do you not know who I am?” Ad demanded as she took off the mask and
looked at the security guard coldly.
“You will wait until I get confirmation on if she will see you,” the security guard responded, unmoved by
her outburst.
Everyone in thepany knew now that Hayley was really Ad. His impression of her was the same
as everyone else: a shameless, disgusting woman.
Melissa and Jill were chatting casually in Melissa’s office. Melissa decided that she was going to make
clothes for her baby instead of buying. It was a tradition her mother started that she wanted to continue.
“Look. You know Murray will be worried that you will be stressed if you do that. He’ll be all over you to
make sure you stay calm and rxed. It is kind of gross how you two fawn over each other,” Jill said.
She disliked public disys of affection. It didn’t matter if they were married or not. She just didn’t want
to see it.
“When you find a man that you love, you won’t be saying that,” Melissa responded.
“I think not. Men only think with their little heads. I don’t have time to deal with that,” Jill countered.
There was a knock on the door and Melissa’s assistant entered the room. She whispered in her ear
and Melissa’s cheerfully expression faltered slightly.
“Bring her in,” Melissa said. The assistant nodded and left.
“Who ising? Are you going to seriously do work right now? I haven’t had any time to catch up with
you,” Jill pouted as she had managed to find time to spend with Melissa.
“Don’t worry, no. Melissa sat on the sofa with a nket over her stomach. After a while, Ad was
brought in.
When Jill saw her, her brows furrowed and asked, “What the hell happened to you? You look
homeless.”
Melissa was also a little surprised by Ad’s appearance. Within half a month, she looked nothing like
she did before.
“Long time no see, Ad,” Melissa said. “How can I help you?” Melissa pointed casually to a chair in a
corner and asked her to sit down.
Ad knelt directly on the ground and apologized, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done what I did. Please
forgive me.”
Melissa wasn’t moved by her apology. She knew that if Ad still had money, she would not be here
begging for forgiveness. More like, Ad would be plotting her revenge.
“You came here today to say this?”
“I beg you forgive me. Please call the people off. I can’t go anywhere without people harassing or
taunting me,” Ad continued. Hearing this, Melissa burst intoughter.
“You think too much of yourself. I’ve never asked anyone to follow you. You’re being harassed based
on your actions not mine!”
“I apologize to you for what happened before, “Ad said again.
“What are you doing apologizing to me? The situation is over and done with. If that is all you wanted,
you can see yourself out.” Melissa said dismissively. Shedidn’t care about her existence at all.
If Ad had been smart, she would have secured her future instead of trying to be petty. Again, she did
this to herself. It was no one else’s fault but her own that she was homeless now. Ad would not have
been forgiving if the shoe was on the other foot.
“Don’t we still have a contract? The contract has not expired. You are still my manager.” Ad blurted
out as she suddenly remembered the contract they signed.
Melissa stood up slowly. She went to her file cab. After flicking through some folders, she pulled out
Ad’s.
“I remember that the contract with you was for a three-month period, including your training!” Melissa
casually flipped to thest page and found that it just ended today.
Belonging to N?velDrama.Org.
The contract would not be valid after today. Even if there was a month left, Melissa wouldn’t honor this
contract since Ad signed it with a fake name with malicious intent.
“See for yourself,” Melissa said as she handed the contract to Ad, “The contract ends today.”
Ad couldn’t believe her eyes. She didn’t pay attention to the time period when she first signed. Ad
signed it without hesitation. At that time, she just thought as long as she had a rtionship with Melissa
that she didn’t have to worry about the rest. That was the irony of the situation. Ad didn’t even
consider things devolving to this point.
“Are you trying to trick me? Is our rtionship over?” Ad questioned suspiciously.
“Have you not seen yourself?” Jill responded. “Look in the mirror sweetie. Do you really think we would
go through great lengths to frame someone like you? You think too highly of yourself.” “Have you not
done enough? Now you’re going to kick me when I’m at my lowest?!” Ad snapped at Jill, who
shrugged at her. “Now, please leave the premises. There are many people here that who don’t want to
see you ever again,” Melissa stated as she stood up. She opened the door and motioned for Ad to
leave. If the public rtions department knew Ad was here, they probably would go into a frenzy
due to how much stress Ad caused.
Melissa stood by the window watching Ad go.
“Do you think I’m cruel?” Melissa asked.
“No. You gave Ad many opportunities to stop what she was doing and she refused to do so,” Jill
answered. She knew how much
Melissa endured throughout her life and knew that Melissa tried to do the right thing even to her
enemies.
Ad walked out of the building and really wanted to dive straight into the river.
When she began to consider it more, an unfamiliar number called her cell phone.
Ad didn’t know the number, so she ended the call. She was trying to preserve as much battery as
she could. Who knew when she would be able to charge it again? She had to find wifi to even make
calls.
The number continued to call her and Ad finally answered.
“Hello, I’m Huyu Live. We would like to invite you to be our streamer.”
The voice on the other end of the phone was like a life-saver, pulling Ad Yale out of the vortex of
darkness.
She agreed without thinking.
Ad went to a park bathroom and cleaned herself up as much as she could. She put on one of her
cleaner outfits and went to thepany building.
It was just a simple two-story, building, but there were no less than ten luxury cars parked at the door,
all of which were more than one million.
This made Ad hopeful that she could recover from this low point in her life.
She entered the building and spoke to the receptionist, who had been waiting for her. The president
contacted the person in charge, who came downstairs to speak with Ad.
“We saw your situation in the news. We believe that you didn’t deserve to be harassed in that way. We
believe in offering second chances. We wanted to invite you to be our streamer. You have potential and
think you’ll do well here. What do you think?”
