    Rhea watched Mike’s expression and maintained her posture without moving. After a while, she slowly


    withdrew her hand as if she had already believed him.


    However, Mike remained motionless, leaning against the wall destely. "Just kill me. Kill me, and I''ll


    be relieved!"


    "What are you talking about?" Rhea said coldly. "You don''t want to save your son anymore? Do you


    honestly think he''s already dead?"


    "Whether he''s dead or not, what difference does it make? Can you help me save him? Alexander


    couldn''t do it, so how can you?" Mike turned to look at her and noticed the long needle she was


    holding.


    The needle was no ordinary sewing needle or a regr hospital needle. It was longer than usual.


    ‘If that’s what Rhea pressed against me earlier, it’s safe to assume it can pierce my clothes and


    prate my internal organs.’


    With that thought, Mike broke out in a cold sweat.


    Rhea remained nonchnt and nced at him, saying, “How do you know I can’t?”


    "Heh, stop bragging. You don''t even know where the organization is, so how can you expect to find my


    son? If Alexander couldn''t do it, how could you?" Mike mocked her.


    Facing his mockery, Rhea remained unbothered and calmly said, "Ever heard of ‘practice makes


    perfect?’ Besides, not knowing the organization''s location doesn''t mean I don''t know how to save your


    son. It was the boss''s idea to do what he did to your son."

    He had always believed the “boss” was an executor, and the organization decided everything based on


    their intentions. However, Rhea imed it was solely the “boss’s” idea to kidnap Mike’s son.


    “Weren’t you the one who wanted to die? Weren’t you just asking me to kill you?” This time, it was


    Rhea who taunted him.


    Mike did not mind it and looked at Rhea earnestly. “I don’t care if you kill or tear me apart as long as


    you can help me save my son!”


    “Why would I want to tear you apart? I’m not experimenting,” Rhea scoffed, casually retracting her


    needle. She continued, “Let me tell you something. The situation with your son was the boss’s idea. He


    kidnapped your son to threaten you into investing. The organization doesn’tck money, but limited


    funds are avable for investment. Also…


    “Also, what?!” Mike wanted to hear Rhea’s words, whether true or false. After all, he could only discern


    the truth after listening. However, he would remain in the dark if she did not continue.


    Rhea smiled, then said, “Also, your son doesn’t hold much value to the organization now.”


    “What do you mean?” Mike had a bad feeling about her vague exnation.


    “You should know value is the most important thing for the organization. Ultimately, what purpose would


    we serve once we lose our value? Do you know the consequences if you and I lose our value?” Rhea


    turned and smirked at Mike.


    Mike furrowed his brow, clenched his fists, and said, “Abandonment. Treat us like discarded pawns.”


    Rhea burst intoughter after hearing his words. “Do you honestly think that’s what’ll happen? You’re


    so naive! Do you think the organization is that merciful? You and I know so many secrets lie within the


    organization.


    “If they think we’re useless, do you genuinely believe they would abandon us and offer us a way out?”


    Sheughed as if Mike had said something funny.


    Goosebumps crept up Mike’s back as he tightened his grip on his fist. “Are you saying they’ll off us?”
