Chapter 1971
Mike suddenly rxed after seeing the agitated Rhea and the half-dead “boss.” He was interested in
what Rhea had to say.
"So, tell me. How can we cooperate? How will we fight against the organization?" He asked, casually
pulling over a chair to sit as he calmly engaged her.
Rhea looked at him and said firmly, "I still have leverage."
"Oh?" He raised his eyebrow and smiled. "What leverage? Don''t tell me you have an even more
powerful virus that can force the organization to listen to you."
"What makes you think I don''t?" She sneered, exuding an air of confidence.
Mike noticed how she brimmed with confidence and started having doubts and hesitation from his initial
questioning and disdain.
‘Does she genuinely have something we can use?’
"What''s your leverage?" He asked again.
"It''s none of your concern. You just have to know we have bargaining power," Rhea replied, "Mike, will
you cooperate with me or not?"
Mike collected his thoughts while lowering his gaze to the ground. He was trying to calm his mind and
not let her influence him.
Rhea had exceptional eloquence and was a calcting and scheming person. She could easily
manipte him, so he must not fall into her trap.
‘Who knows what her real intentions are?’
After careful consideration, he looked at her and asked, "Since you have leverage, why do you want to
cooperate with me? You can negotiate with the organization on your own.”
Mike stared into Rhea’s eyes. If there were even a hint of hesitation or doubt, it would mean she was
simply deceiving him. However, Rhea''s response was quick. Without hesitation, she said, "I need you
to pave the way."
"Me? Pave the way?" Mike was puzzled.
Rhea did not beat around the bush and said, "I know you can reach out to the organization. I can''t. I
need you to be my middle-man. The organization will be interested in what I have."
Mike immediately burst intoughter after hearing that. "I think there''s a misunderstanding here. Why
do you think I can reach out to the organization? Besides him and Rick, no one can reach them. I''m no
different from you. No one knows where the organization is."
Then he gestured with his chin toward the "boss" and continued, "Instead of asking me, why don''t you
ask him?"
"Him?" Rhea nced at the tiny man disdainfully. "He''s already a castaway of the organization. He''s
useless."
"But he can still contact the organization. He''s not entirely useless to you."
"Do you think he’ll talk?" Rhea suddenly grabbed the man''s neck, forcing his head to tilt backward.

This action finally allowed Mike to see that man''s face, and he could not help but gasp sharply.
The man''s face, initially terrifying enough, looked even more hideous now. There were several new
scars, but they did not look like knife cuts or scratches. His flesh seemed forcibly ripped apart.
It sent a shiver down Mike''s spine. His eyes widened as he stared at the man. However, two seconds
<pter, he immediately averted his gaze, unable to look anymore.
