    “I knew you were not being controlled.” Sure enough, Lily was not concerned about what he was


    saying. She was just staring at Edward intensely.

    holding his son hostage. Hence, Mike never gave up on searching for his son, even if he had no choice


    but to serve here forever.


    It was close to impossible for them to release his son.


    “Did Alex ask you toe here?” Mike asked. This was something Lily was doubtful about as well.


    ‘If Alex instructed Edward toe here, why didn’t he tell Lily about it? He wouldn’t hide anything from


    Lily.’


    Edward’s gaze darkened, and he ignored the question. “Don’t ask so many questions. This isn’t a good


    ce to linger. You two better leave as soon as possible. They’ll discover your ns if you wait any


    longer.”

    leave?” Lily looked at him and asked, “You know why we’re staying here.”

    “What do you mean by that?” Mike was puzzled. “Also, where did the boss go? Did you hide him


    somewhere?”


    “Do you think you can escape after we leave?”


    There were many more people in the organization besides the mysterious man. Lily and Mike still had


    not figured out their web of connections andwork yet.


    Edward’s gaze turned darker as he said lightly, “I’ve never thought about escaping.”


    Mike was stunned, and the same went for Lily. “Are you nning to die here with them?”
