After Mike left, Lily checked the entire room carefully and finally understood his reason for cing the
device on her earlier.

There was an audio monitoring system in the room’s venttion ducts. Someone was monitoring Lily
and everyone else in the building for their words. Unsurprisingly, they had other monitoring systems
besides surveince and hidden cameras. Living here was much scarier than living in prison.
However, Lily had prepared herself for such situations. It was not like it had caught her off guard. She
removed her phone from her pocket and picked up a tiny card from her bag with a few threads of silver-
like strings and something resembling a mini lighter.
After setting the thing up, she connected it to her phone and texted Alexander, telling him she was safe.
Alexander was the one who gave her the item, which was a high-tech device created by hispany.
They were only in their prototype phase and unavable in the marketce. After connecting the
device to her phone, she could prevent monitoring systems from monitoring her activities.
Even if her phone had any monitoring applications installed without her knowledge, nothing would work
with this device’s presence.
Lily had her doubts initially, but after Alexander tried it, she noticed that a typical audio monitoring
system could no longer monitor her conversations. Finally, she believed him and brought the product

arrive, so she got up, washed her face, and wiped it clean but did not change her clothes.
She noticed her somewhat plump face when she was wiping her face while looking into the mirror. Still,
herplexion was great, even though she had been busy recently. Their children were growing well,
and she was proud of their babies’ strength.
She recalled when she was pregnant with Galen. At the time, she enjoyed her life and lived leisurely
every day. It drastically differed from now. Shaking her head, she smiled at the thought of Galen as
warmth filled her heart.
It motivated her to work quickly to reach her goals, so she could regain her life''s peace sooner and live
with tranquility again.
After a moment, she suddenly looked into the mirror and made a funny face at herself. She was unsure
if the surveince cameras would capture what she did. She felt it would, so she also pointed her
middle finger.
At this moment, the man sitting in his office watching the surveince screens noticed the middle finger
she pointed with her slender hand. He was speechless.
At this time, someone knocked at the door, and Mike’s voice sounded. “Lily, it’s time to go.”
After tidying herself up, she opened the door and looked into his eyes energetically. “Let’s go.”
