Chapter 1541
"A safe house," Lily deliberately answered in a way that kept Alexander on tenterhooks.
Only a few people knew she studied medicine with Dominic. Although she had no intention of hiding it
from Alexander, she did not feel the need to bring it up now.
"A safe house?" Alexander looked at her deeply before saying with a smile, "Are you hiding something
from me?"
"What''s wrong? If you can have a safe house, why can''t I have one too?" She raised her head and
looked around the secret underground room. Besides theck of light, everything seemed nice. It was
not even stuffy.
"There’s a venttion system here that allows the outside air to flow into the room. That''s why it''s not
very stuffy here, although it''s underground. However, we can’t do anything about the lighting. It doesn''t
matter if it''s a bit dark, as long as it''s safe," Alexander exined as if he could read Lily’s thoughts.
"That''s true." Lily nodded. "By the way, I saw in the news that people who contracted the disease will
experience tightness in their chest and may lose their sense of taste. Do you have these symptoms?"
Alexander shook his head. "I couldn''t smell much at first, but after sniffing the sachet you gave me, I
feel much better. Every time I feel difort, I take it out to sniff. It helps relieve me from my
symptoms."
"Sachet?" She was a little surprised.
"Yeah!" He nodded and took out the crumpled sachet from his pocket.
It was a sachet Lily had filled with medicinal herbs she had given Alexander before he left. It contained
herbs that would soothe the nerves and protect the lungs. She knew it was hot and humid in Burnwken,
so she gave him that to allow him to sleep peacefully.
However, she did not expect it to help with the symptoms of the gue.
"It''s gettingte. You should go back. It gets dark fast out here," Alexander said after checking the time.
"I''m not going back!" Lily eximed after putting the sachet down.
Alexander was speechless.
Before he could refute it, Lily immediately continued, "I brought some herbs with me that I''ve left in the
car. I think this ce is big enough for the two of us. Don''t drive me away. I want to stay here, and we
can go back together!"
"But there are still many things you need to deal with," he replied helplessly.
"I have a lot to deal with back in Kingnd, including our house and things in the studio, but nothing is
as important as your health! I will apany you here until you recover. Then we can pick up our son
and go home together!"

"Lily…"
As soon as he called out her name, she rebutted, "Alexander, listen to me! You have your subordinates
to deal with thepany''s affairs, so I have nothing to worry about. I don''t have much work in my
studio either. I''ve turned them all down. On top of that…"
She paused briefly before continuing, "I can no longer interfere with theboratory''s affairs. You must
get better as soon as possible. I need you. Our son needs you. Your whole family needs you!"
She seemed to already have this n in mind and wasing here to persuade him. As for Alexander,
Lily had indeed persuaded him.
Although he had been in Burnwken, he knew some of what was happening at home. On top of that, if
he managed to get better, he would contribute to treating this gue.
"Okay," he finally nodded and agreed.
Lily rxed a little when she heard that.
‘The most important thing right now is to help him get better.’ Lily was also curious about this disease.
‘What strand of virus caused this gue? Is it really rted to theboratory?’
