I passed out before the car arrived at the hospital. I figured it was pretty good to just keep sleeping
like this because then, I would not feel any more pain, experience any more deaths, nor lose
anyone important to me.
Nevertheless, I still woke up to face reality.
The white of the hospital ceiling was too dazzling to look at. Everywhere around me was dazzling
white. I turned my head to look at Jerome standing next to my bed. "How did she die?"
Jerome did not expect that I would ask such a difficult question as soon as I woke up. He
immediately looked as though he was put in a trance.
"Stop asking, Wandy.” Xander came over to tuck the nket for me. "What you need now is rest."
