Willow
E was the daughter of a powerful Alpha but she was a member of the Emerald Bright Pack. This
was due to Reuben’s father, Alpha Luis Emerald, taking her in after the death of her parents at a
young age. The two packs had been allies for decades. Of course, E stood to inherit her parents
pack when she came of legal age, it was at that point that she could take over the running of it.
After I joined the Emerald Bright Pack, E became my first friend. She was cheerful and friendly
unlike me who spent most of my time finding part time jobs to pay my tuition fees and living
expenses. I was a new member of Emerald Bright Pack and an orphan Omega. E and I went to
the same school and we spent more time together, E became my best friend in a year. She told
me all her secrets, her love interests, her exs and boyfriends but I could never do the same as my
life was full of secrets and mysteries especially when it came to my love interest….
“Willow, do you have a boyfriend?”
We were at a club, where E had dragged me along with her after school. A boy. questioned me as
everyone sat around the table ying truth or dare and unfortunately the bottle stopped on me.
My hand froze on my ss as everyone’s curious eyes fixed on me. Especially Oran and Bix who
were Reuben’s best friends. They were both friendly and mostly curious about me from the
beginning because the aloof, self centered, and short tempered Reuben had personally brought me
in the pack. The other survivors of the rogue trafficking ring werebeled rogues and set free to go
their own way but Reuben refused to let me go into the woods and die. He never let Emerald Bright
or Alpha Luis know that I was one of the survivors so I was notbeled a rogue but a normal Omega
that people normally did not pay attention to.
“I don’t have a boyfriend,” I answered. Judging by the expressions of many of them, it was clear that
they did not believe me.
“Then do you like someone?” someone else asked, “There are a lot of hot guys at school,” they
winked.
As soon as this question registered in my brain, my heart started beating wildly in my chest, and his
face came to my eyes. I subconsciously raised my eyes and looked at a dark corner of the club
where I had been feeling someone’s eyes on me for a long time. I had yet to get my wolf but still I
had a strong feeling of being watched.

The more I thought about it the more sure I was then a couple came sneaking out of the dark
corner. The woman’s makeup was messed up and the man was fixing his pants. The couple walked
away like they had not done anything. I blinked in surprise. It turned out, I was over thinking. There
was not anything there. This was my first time visiting a club. Even though I was with my friends,
every little thing was getting my
attention.
“Hey, you are taking way too long to reply,” Bix stated dryly.
I focused back on them and just before I was about to answer E spoke up, “Guys, don’t tease
Willow just because you are seniors,” she wrapped her arm around my shoulders and red at Bix
especially. Oran and Bix were two years older than us and in the same ss as Reuben, “Willow is
shy and a good girl. She does not like anyone,” E replied, that’s what she always assumed about
me.
Yes, I was a little shy and maintained a healthy distance from boys but I was not a good girl.
I just smiled at them until E got a call from one of our ssmates that was runningte. She was
short on money and she needed to pay for a taxi.
“This girl! Always forgets to grab enough money before leaving the house!” E gritted her teeth as
she did not want to leave the game.
Before E could get up, I stopped her, “E, you y the game, I will go and help her,” I got up.
“Are you sure?” E asked.
“Yes,” I smiled, grabbed my purse, and turned to leave. Passing by people that were. dancing and
chatting, I opened my purse to pull out money when suddenly a strong hand grabbed my arm. I
yelped but a hand was pressed to my mouth as I was pulled into the isted area of the club.
When my back touched the wall and a tall hard chest pressed against, my eyes shot open to see
my capture.
“SHHH…” he slowly pulled his hand away from my mouth.
“You…” my eyes widened at finding Reuben there. He had been out of the town for thest two
days only to suddenly appear here.
“Were you expecting someone else?” He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to
him. “Tell me Willow, were you expecting someone else?”

“No,” I gasped and put my hand on his chest as our lower bodies touched each other. He was too
tall and always bold whenever he touched me. Even though we had yet to cross that line, his every
touch and soft gaze used to set my body on fire.
“Why did you say you don’t like anyone?” he softly touched my cheek, his breath. fanning my face.
My heart quickened at his words. My feelings were correct. Reuben had been in the club watching
me. “Tell me Willow, why did you lie?” He raised my chin.
“The two of us being together is impossible, Reuben,” I whispered as my chest rose and fell rapidly.
“An Alpha and Omega together is impossible.”
My heart hurt but I had to admit that this was true. The Emerald Bright Pack had a long history of
hating Omegas. Omegas could be pack members but high ranking members. could not be in love
with Omegas. Even knowing this fact, I could not stop myself falling in love with Reuben.
“Impossible?” Reuben frowned. “Is this your way of trying to make me stop, Willow?” He grabbed
my hair and tilted my face up. “It’s toote, if you are trying to run away from me. I will f ucking lose
my mind if you even think about leaving me,” he warned, pulling me into a passionate kiss, “I love
you, Willow. I love you…” he confessed..
My eyes widened at Reuben’s confession. The word I was scared of the most, greeted me in this
way. Reuben confessed his love. I closed my eyes and a teardrop slipped out from the corner of my
eye.
I had fallen for him but he had fallen even harder for me. If I had stopped this from the very
beginning we would not have reached this point. Maybe then I would not have be his
addiction. I could not confess my feelings but I could not stop myself from kissing him back either.
Even though we had kissed before, this kiss held different feelings and emotions for us. As I
wrapped my arms around his neck, Reuben grew excited. He grabbed my leg and pinned me
against the wall as he kissed me deeper. “I love you… Willow,” he said again and again between
kisses. While unknown to us someone had overheard him.
“You guys….” a familiar voice echoed in the isted area. I broke the kiss in surprise and I tilted my
head to find E, Oran, and Bix standing some distance away in shock. They hade looking for
me when the friend waiting outside informed them I had not shown up.
My secret and forbidden rtionship with Reuben that had remained hidden for a year had just
been exposed to our friends. Reuben did not care about them knowing about our rtionship but I
was scared. Surprisingly, none of them ever exposed our love to

anyone. Oran and Bix were cool and already considered me their future Luna while E supported
me.
But never in my wild imagination had I thought that E would be Reuben’s fiancee. My best friend

In Reuben’s office, I stood there frozen in shock for a long time. E and Reuben…
My wolf was violently howling in my mind and burning in a raging fire. I slowly turned my head to
look at Reuben. He had already been watching me this whole time with an expression that I could
not read at all. Once our eyes met, I realized whatever Bix said was true. Reuben did not deny it.
E was really Reuben’s fiancee.
E stepped forward and opened her mouth to speak, “Willow, I …”
“Congrattions,” I said to Reuben without breaking eye contact. He frowned bitterly then I turned
to look at E, “Congrattions to you too, E,” I smiled, walking closer to her. She stared at me
with wide watery eyes, “I really admire your choice that is coincidentally my past lover.”
She bit her lip at my word choice. Bix looked at E’s tearful eyes and growled at me, “Watch your
tone… Willow.”
“Am I talking to you?” I raised my eyebrows at him, silencing him. He gritted his teeth and wanted to
argue but once he looked passed me at Reuben he swallowed his words.
“Willow…” E touched my hand but I pulled my hand back.
“That’s enough!” Reuben’s growl silenced everyone in the room as he ordered Bix and E, “Get out
of my office right now!”
E quickly turned away, wanting to run out in tears while Bix was ready to chase after her, but E
stopped when two little children walked through the door.
“Who are they?” Bix c ocked his brows as he exchanged confused looks with E. Both of their
gazes followed Wyatt and Lori as they raced all the way over to me and hugged my legs. They were
shy around strangers.
“Mommy… we are hungry,” Wyatt said softly as he clenched my dress in his small fists along with
Lori.
“Mommy?” E gasped at the sight of my children while Bix lost his voice in shock, “Willow, did you
give birth?” she asked in disbelief as they were sure that I was not married.

I chose not to answer and ignored her, taking Wyatt and Lori out of the room to feed. them when
suddenly Bix startedughing, “Willow, you gave birth to ba sta rds.”
I immediately pulled Wyatt close to me and Lori so that I covered their ears while I red at Bix for
his audacity. Did he really use that word to describe my children?!
I moved Wyatt and Lori aside and stepped forward to deliver a harsh p across Bix’s face but
before I could do that a very strong punchnded on Bix’s face, throwing him. outside of the room
and breaking the wall. I flinched at the sudden action while E screamed in fear at the dangerous
sight Reuben presented.
“How dare you call my children ba star ds,” Reuben growled.
