Chapter 1995 Two Bad News
Nicole smiled and nodded.
Kai chuckled and said, “Good morning? It’s almost noon! That''s funny... yton went up to deliver milk
to you, but it took two hours for you guys toe down. What a lovey-dovey couple!"
Nicole took a breath and told herself not to get angry.
Her face flushed with embarrassment as she red at Kai. She stretched out a finger and pointed at
him confidently.
"You’re just jealous of the two of us! We were talking about work just now. What do you know?!"
yton, who was on the side, heard this and identallyughed out loud.
Kaiughed even harder.
"Talking about work, huh? Your husband said that you guys were watching a movie!"
It turned out that Kai was just mocking her. He was just as cunning as ever.
Nicole raised her chin and said, "Right. I wanted to invest in a movie, so we were doing some
research."
Kai obviously did not believe her, but he had more important things to do, so he stood up with his coat,
checked the time, and nned to head out.
Nicole immediately went downstairs and told him solemnly, "I have one bad news and another bad
news. Which one do you want to hear first?"
Kai frowned. "They''re all bad news, so I don''t want to hear either!"
Nicole stood in front of him to block his path.

"Just tell me then."
Kai raised his eyebrows with a smirk. He loosened his cor and looked cynical.
Since Kai learned the good news of Tyler''s arrestst night, his suave temperament returned.
He was not even bothered by the bad news that Nicole mentioned.
Was there any news that would be better than his freedom now?
Kai looked at the time and urged her." Come on. I have a lunch appointment with Jules. I''m supposed
to pick her up!"
Nicole pursed her lips.
"The bad news is that Tyler escaped and that we''re in danger.
Kai was shocked, and his pupils suddenly erged.
Nicole continued, "The other bad news is that I spent all the money from your card!"
In an instant, Kai’s face turned pale and angry. He did not know how to describe his current mood

Nicole shook her head.

Kai sat back on the sofa listlessly. The feeling of powerlessness instantly extinguished his high spirits.
It looked like Kai was back to being frightened like before.
It was so pitiful.
Nicole suddenly felt remorseful. When she saw that Kai was more afraid than her, the helplessness and
panic she felt just now disappeared.
yton coughed and came over.
"Third Brother, don''t worry. I’ve already increased security to covertly protect everyone in the mansion.
It’ll be fine.”
Kai raised his eyelids lightly, sniffled, and took a while to digest the information.
After a while, he looked at the two people in front of him.
"Are you two working together to swindle my money?"
Kai was back into a dangerous situation, and he even lost a lot of money.
Nicole also felt guilty.
She smiled bleakly with a strong sense of helplessness.
"Third Brother, I''m in even more danger now."
Kai blinked and shook his shoulders. He had no choice but to ept these facts.
He took out his phone and called Julie.
"Jules, I can''t go on a lunch date with you today. I''ll double the number of bodyguards to protect you.
You have to be careful during this time of danger!"
Julie said something and hung up.
Kai looked at the darkened phone screen and cursed Nicole.
"Stupid sister!"
Nicole looked away guiltily and went to eat at the table.
Stanton Mansion.
In order to apany Nicole, yton simply worked from home.
Fortunately, the greenhouse behind the Stanton Mansion was big enough, and they usually liked to
appreciate the flowers, drink tea, and chat in there.
It was sunny and not windy.
Rnd came over to report about work. He happened to meet Nicole and the many friends that she
invited to pass the time.
yton was pruning and watering Nicole''s flowers in the greenhouse.
Rnd was a little stunned when he saw this, but he quickly recovered his expression and spoke.
"Mr. Sloan, Tyler is very cunning. Although we''ve investigated a few ces where he has appeared,
the building was already empty when our people went over. It seems like he''s staging all this just to
confuse us. Also, there are several warehouses in South Africa that have been bombed in session.
If we don’t take measures soon, the others who are standing on the sidelines will start to act up."
yton was not surprised by this. He nodded his head and lowered his head to prune the branches,
looking content.
"There’s no need to investigate his whereabouts. Let the word out that the arsenal has been transferred
and that the research results and personnel list have been taken away. Let them search for
themselves..."
Rnd paused. After a few seconds of silence, he asked yton, “Mr. Sloan, are you trying to attract
Tyler''s attention? Is it because you''re afraid that Tyler will target Ms. Stanton?"
yton paused and chuckled in a low voice. "Is it that obvious?"
Rnd said, "Mr. Sloan, our original n was to create this smokescreen after the key information is in
our hands. Aren''t you diverting their attention by doing this one step ahead?"
yton raised his eyebrows. "Right."
Rnd hesitated. "This will anger Tyler even more when he knows that he has been tricked. I''m afraid
that he won''t just let it slide.”
yton chuckled lightly without a care and nced at the crowd outside the ss.
Nicole’s happiness was in stark contrast to Kai''s sadness.
Even though Julie also invited a lot of people toe over, Kai sat sullenly on thewn and looked up
at the sky.
Fortunately, Nicole was not that affected.

Rnd was silent for a few seconds, then he nodded.
