“Then just shut up. My son will definitely take after his dad, who is tall, handsome, and smart. Most
importantly, they both will treat me well.” Mia looked at her husband with eyes filled with love.
Andre sat on the couch, catching his wife’s adoring gaze and the love in her eyes. He chuckled
helplessly yet happily. From now on, he would have to face the daily adoration and love from his wife
and son. He wondered what his little boy would be like.
Cooper rolled his eyes at the lovey-dovey married folks!
By evening, Mia yawned three times in a row. Only then did her family leave, giving the hospital room
back to the couple.
Madison wanted to stay, but her daughter urged her to leave. “Mom, go home and rest up. Once the
babyes, we’ll be depending on you.”
Madison was taken aback but then realized that “we” meant her daughter and grandchild. “Let’s worry
about thatter. Tonight, I’ll stay with you in the hospital. Don’t worry.”
Mia pointed at Andre, who was standing to see their guests out. “Then you can fight over me with my
husband. He definitely won’t want to leave me in your care tonight.”
Eventually, Andre also suggested that Madison should leave. She had no choice but to depart.
Finally, the hospital room was quiet. Miaid in bed, gazed at herrge belly, and then quickly turned
over to sleep. “Honey, I didn’t see Molly today.”

stay here with me.”

Coleen sat at the head of the round table. She wore light makeup to hide her paleplexion. Molly
sat next to her mother. The staff members who saw her began to specte. Was she going to join the

announcements to make today.”

daughter.”
Molly knew that many eyes were on her at the moment. She pretended to be calm and sat upright.
“Madam, how are you feeling? Ms. Molly might not be familiar with ourpany. Probably she

Coleen simply replied, “The main purpose of today’s meeting is to ‘announce’, not to discuss.”
Announcement meant that everything she dered was her decision. Any objections would be

Then, Coleen continued, “I understand everyone’s concerns and doubts about my daughter’s
capabilities as this is her first time handling thepany. I will be assisting her during my
recuperation.”
Upon hearing this, the management team let out a sigh of relief. If Molly was like the previous prodigal
son of Ashford Inc., who had no capabilities but still wanted to control thepany, they would be
doomed. If that was the case, they would need to consider changing jobs. But since the president
would be assisting, there shouldn’t be any major issues.
“Secondly, the marketing campaign for the new quarter will be led by the vice-president...”
The meetingsted for more than an hour. After it ended, Coleen asked several core department
managers to join her in her office for a detailed discussion. Coleen had to ensure that thepany

for them.”

Molly said, “Mom, I’ll go get you some lunch.”
“No need. Let me rest a while. Then we’ll go eat something nice,” Coleen responded.
Molly went over to her mother and hugged her neck. “Mom, you’re my idol. You’re the best mom.”
Coleen patted her daughter’s hand around her neck. Sheughed and asked, “Did you feel slighted
when you served tea to the key leaders today?”
Molly shook her head. “Talented people deserve it. If we want to win people’s hearts, serving some tea
is nothing. There’s no need for me to be haughty and proud.”
Coleenughed. “With that mindset, I can rest assured leaving thepany to you.”
But Molly was still unsure. She asked her mother, “Mom, I really don’t know anything about running a

schedule the surgery.
Andre replied, “I haven’t heard anything unusual. Why do you ask?”
Leaning back in her chair, Mia replied, “I just have a feeling that Molly is acting a bit out of character.”
