    try anything."


    "And you got hurt." Toby held her arm with undisguised heartache in his eyes. "She would have killed


    you too if I hadn''t arrived in time."


    Sonia couldn''t say anything in response to that. Indeed, she would have been on her way to the


    hospital instead of being here in his arms if he hadn''t arrived in time.
