    Chapter 1954 Janice Is In The Hospital


    Just as Wilbur finished recounting to Maya how Janice had feigned unconsciousness but then hailed a


    cab when he was gone, his phone rang.


    Seeing that the call was from Mabel, he rejected it at once. “Why didn’t you answer?” Maya asked. “I


    don’t feel like hearing her voice.”


    As soon as he said that, his phone rang again. This time, it was from an unknown number. Wilbur


    hesitated briefly before answering, not expecting to hear Mabel’s annoying voice.


    “Wilbur! Janice is in the hospital! The doctor said it’s not looking good, and they’re trying to save her.
