CHAPTER 315
Chapter 315
Ivan released Olivia. “For the Miller family to have a daughter like Gina is unfortunate, but to have
you, who, though not biological, are as good as our daughter, is a blessing. From now on, our family
will stand together, never to be separated,” Ivan dered passionately.
“Okay.” Olivia nodded, feigning emotion.
Olivia had sacrificed by donating a kidney to earn their favor again. The Miller family’s change of
heart had been her chance. She had seized it, entwining herself with the Miller family for survival. It
had been her n until she stepped on Gina’s toes.
Then, Ivan said to E, “Mom, don’t worry. I’ll immediately talk to Gina and have her return Miller
Jewels to us.”
E couldn’t dare to hope anymore. “Let it go, Ivan. As for Gina, we can’tpete with her, and
most importantly, behind her stands Gabriel. I’ve sinned to have such an unfilial daughter. I truly
regret not ending her life when she was born,” E said from the depths of her heart.
“Mom, it’s not toote now,” Ivan said disdainfully.
E was still worried. “But Ivan, don’t be reckless,” E cautioned “Committing murder is against the
law.”
“Mom, you don’t need to worry.” Ivan reassured E. “I promised you I’ll take care of Gina. I have
my ways. Just trust me.
“Enough, Ivan. Stop talking nonsense,” E scolded, feeling that Ivan was irrational. “Just go home,
now!”
Gina went to the medicinend to gather some medicinal herbs, intending to prepare a tonic for Neil
Jackson. Upon seeing Cathy Fowler again, herplexion grew paler, and her appearance
became haggard.
“Miss Miller,” Cathy said weakly, her voice trembling as she struggled to maintain bnce.
Gina frowned and asked, “Did you donate blood again? She knew there had to be something
suspicious about this so-called blood donation.
Cathy felt inexplicably guilty. “I…” Before she could finish her sentence, she copsed before Gina.
Gina was stunned, and she immediately crouched down to check her pulse. Cathy was in shock.
When Cathy woke up, she found herself in the hospital. As she nced around, she saw a bag of
blood continuously being transfused into her body while Gina sat nearby with a cold expression on
her face.
“Awake? You almost died from shock,” Gina said sinctly.
Cathy hesitated for a moment, then realized she had narrowly escaped death. Overwhelmed with
fear, she burst into tears. “Thank you, Miss Miller, you saved me!”
“What’s the deal with the blood donation you mentioned earlier Donating blood again after just a few
days-is that something you insisted on doing? How many people are as insistent on donating blood
as you are?” Gina inquired.
Cathy realized that Gina knew she had been lying about her blood donation intentions before. This
time, nearly dying, she couldn’t hold back any longer. “I’m sorry, Miss Miller. Last time, I lied to you. I
didn’t voluntarily donate blood; I signed a
contract
“Contract?” Gina eximed, surprised..

“Yes,” Cathy stammered, her words disjointed and unclear as she struggled to speak through her
sobs.
Gina motioned for her to calm down before continuing, “You don’t need to apologize to me. The life
you almost lost is your own. The one you owe apologies to is yourself.” And Gina’s intervention to
save her was just a tiny effort on her part.
“I signed a contract with Blue Vale Hospital to supply blood. I have to be avable whenever they
call, and although they
blood- only draw a small amount, around 100-20, the intervals are very short each time. Despite
them providing many replenishing nutrients and supplements after each extraction, I can’t replenish
it.in time, Cathy exined.
“Why did you sign a contract with Blue Vale?” This question concerned Gina the most. “Are you in
need of money?”
Cathy shook her head. “No, I’m not.”
Gina could tell that Cathy was hesitant and unwilling to tell the truth. “I saved you. Can’t you be
honest with me? That’s my only request.” Gina said.
Cathy lowered her gaze. “It’s my boyfriend.”
Gina wasn’t surprised, but it was rare for her to meddle in others affairs. “You said you didn’t break
up with Andy Taylor because he saved your life. Now, because of him, you’ve signed a messy
contract and nearly died. You’ve also paid him back with your life. No one can save you if you don’t
break up with him now. I can’t guarantee that I’ll always be able to get you to the hospital in time
when you’re unconscious, nor can you guarantee that someone will always find you when you
faint,” Gina exined.
Cathy had to admit that Gina’s words made sense. However, she was at a loss about what to do
now. “But I signed the contract. If I breach it. I have to pay a penalty of 100 thousand dors, which I
can’t afford. I also don’t want to donate blood anymore, but the contract is legally binding…”
“Take me to Blue Vale,” Gina said calmly. She wanted to see what this private hospital was up to.
“Okay,” Cathy agreed.
Gina fed Cathy some of the medicinal herbs she had grown herself, and Cathy immediately
regained some strength. Together, they went to see what Blue Vale called its blood collection
department.
Olivia was holding several newly signed blood supply agreements and smiling as she prepared to
deposit them in Nics Jacquard’s office safe. She hadn’t expected to run into Gina, and when she
saw Gina standing across from her, Olivia felt as if she’d seen a phantom. She was startled, fearing
that Gina might be there to cause trouble for her.
Olivia looked at Gina with apprehension and asked, “What brings you here?”
Cathy had always considered Olivia a friend. She believed that meeting someone and making
friends with them was a matter of fate in a world where countless people pass by each day. So, she
took the initiative to greet Olivia. “Olivia…” However, Olivia ignored her.
Gina noticed that Olivia was likely working here. Seeing the thick contracts in Olivia’s hands, Gina
furrowed her brows. “Get your supervisor or the person in charge of this hospital, Dr. Jacquard,” she
instructed.
Olivia was surprised. “What do you need Dr. Jacquard for?”
“It’s none of your concern, Gina replied impassively.
Olivia felt somewhat offended, but she dared not express her anger. “Dr. Jacquard isn’t here. If you
have any business, you can tell me directly,” she said.
Gina pointed to Cathy. “I want her blood supply contract,” she stated.
Olivia nced at Cathy with confusion. Although Cathy had helped her before, they had lost touch
after Olivia moved. So when Cathy greeted her earlier, Olivia didn’t respond.
