Chapter 345
Chapter 345 I Do Not Believe In Coincidences
“You really are considerate, Dr. Sutton.”
“Thanks f for thepliment.” Adrian turned toward lysander. “Are you okay?”
Lysander gave a nod.
Lysander: Why did youe out here?
“I noticed you’ve been gone for quite a while, and I was worried something might have happened to
you, so I came looking,” said Adrian with a light chuckle, “Now, I see you ran into someone you
know and got caught up in conversation.”
Lysander gave a nod, shaking the bag in her hand slightly. Lysander: I’ve got the medicine.
Adrian gave a nonchnt hum. “Why don’t youe over here? My umbre is a bitrger.”
He extended his umbre toward her, positioning it next to the one in Josiah’s hand, creating a path
for
her.
After some thought, Lysander nodded and prepared to walk over.
Josiah abruptly pulled her back. “She can stay right here.”
Adrian pointed to Josiah’spletely soaked back. “I’m worried that you are so focused on
shielding Lysander with the umbre that you end up getting drenched yourself, Mr. Guerra.”
Josiah slightly furrowed his brows. “Well, I’m already soaked; it doesn’t really matter anymore. The
is quite heavy, so let’s not get you wet too, Dr. Sutton.”
Lysander briskly shook off Josiah’s hand and moved under Adrian’s umbre, continuing forward
without a word.
Adrian gave a soft chuckle, subtly shifting the umbre toward her as they began to walk back
together
“Where did you run into him?”
Lysander: The pharmacy.
“A chance encounter?”
She nodded.
Adrian let out a snigger. “I don’t believe in coincidences.”
Upon reaching the mansion entrance, Lysander was the first to step inside.
Adrian stood at the door, closing his umbre. “So, Mr. Guerra, you’ve decided to tag along as well.
What, fancy a little tour of my ce?”
Josiah raised an evebrow. “That’s right. Is this a good time?”

“No problem, but let’s do it another day. It’s toote now; we should all be resting.”
“I’m not sleepy yet. Since we’re already here, why not just do it today!
“But Lysander has been busy all day today and is already very tired.”
Josiah said, “She can sleep, while I have my tour.”
“I’m just worried that you woulde across some upsetting scenes and consequently have
sleepless nights.”
Josiah’s face darkened slightly. “Upsetting scenes?”
“Mmm-hmm.”
Josiah sneered, “I’m not worried. Lysander knows her limits.”
Adrian chuckled. “Mr. Guerra, you’re overthinking it. Lysander certainly knows her boundaries.
However, some of the items in my house are my personal treasures, things you can’t buy in the
market. I’m just concerned that it might make you feel ufortable after seeing them.”
“How valuable is this treasure? I’d actually like to broaden my horizons.”
After a moment of contemtion, Adrian tilted his head and said. “Alright, if that’s the case, please
come in, Mr. Guerra.”
The two men entered the mansion, one after the other.
Meanwhile, Lysander was boiling water in the kitchen
When she saw those two figures, she had a strong premonition-she wasn’t going to any peace in
coming days.
Sure enough, within a few seconds, Josiah saw thergest painting hanging in the living room.
Pointing toward the oil painting behind the couch, Adrian asked, “Do you find it appealing?”
Josiah stared at the painting, his lips pressed tightly together.
The oil painting depicted Lysander from behind during her student years.
She was unsure whether Josiah would be able to recognize it, or perhaps, he had never even been
to Harborbrook Medical University and thus wouldn’t know about the small campus path.
“Not bad.” Josiah’s voice betrayed no emotion. “Did you paint it yourself, Dr. Sutton?”
“I did.”
“The resemnce is uncanny,” said Josiah. “This must be from nearly a decade ago. She hasn’t
changed much since then.”
