smiled awkwardly and exined, “Josiah is always in a hurry when ites to work.”

“Well, I’m far behind Mr. Guerra.”
“That’s for sure. How can youpare yourself to Josiah? But, after all, you were admitted to Apex
University directly, which is much better than those who only managed to get into a regr medical
university.”
Lysander had grown immune to Lysanne’s subtle sarcasm.
She told Lynn, “Continue administering the progesterone shots to Prisci, and instruct the nurses
to keep a closer eye over the next few days.”
Lynn nodded. “Okay.”
“Let’s go to the next ward.”
“Hey, wait…”
When Josiah was here, Helen remained silent the whole time. Now that Lysander was about to
leave, she grabbed her arm. “You haven’t told me yet. Is she pregnant with a baby boy or girl?”
Lysander replied in a business–like manner, “The hospital prohibits embryo gender testing.”
“I know, but you must have a way to find out, right? Something like ultrasound or amniotic fluid
test…”
“Sorry.”
“It’s just a simple thing. Why are you being so evasive…”
“Madam, is the gender really that important?”
“Of course, the Molsey family cannot afford to let our family line die out.”

and blocked their way. She proudly lifted her head. “It’s just a trivial matter, so don’t make it so
complicated. Leave it to me.”
Helen was delighted. “Yes! Mrs. Guerra is here! Doctor, if you won’t respect me, you’ll have to show
some respect to Mrs. Guerra, right?”

show any respect to Mrs. Guerra.”

Lynn asked, “Dr. Thorne, aren’t we going to make the rounds?”
“Has the morning urine sample from Prisci been collected? Her blood sugar is high, possibly due
to pregnancy–induced diabetes.”
“It should have been collected. I issued the order for the test yesterday.”
“Let’s go and check the report in theboratory.”
At theboratory, Prisci’s test results were not yet avable.
Urine tests were usually quick. Lysander exchanged a few words with her colleague in the
laboratory then waited aside.
Unexpectedly, Lysanne followed her out and blocked her at theboratory door.
“Mrs. Guerra, do you have something else to say?”
“I’m asking you. Is Harry’s wife pregnant with a boy or girl?
Lysander gave her a cold nce. “I already said that I cannot disclose it.”
“No, you have to tell me today. I promised Mrs. Molsey, so there must be a result.”
“That’s your promise, not mine.”
Lysanne stepped forward and threatened her in a low voice, “If you don’t tell me, I’ll tell others that
you are seducing my husband, making you famous in the hospital! Seducing the husband of your
patient. Ha! if those pregnant women knew, who would dare to see you for treatment in the future?

Lysanne’s face suddenly felt wet. “Did you just douse water on me?”
