Chapter 122
Chapter 122 Pink Or Blue
Lysander furrowed her brows.
She had thought that Harry would stir up some trouble first. Unexpectedly, the first to cause a scene
was her mother, Helen Brooks.
As soon as Lysander led Lynn into the ward, they could hear the voice of a middle–aged woman
even through. the closed window.
“If all else fails, why not offer the doctor a little gift? What problem can’t that solve? You are just too
young and inexperienced in the ways of the world. In this day and age, who would help you without
a little. incentive?”
A gift?
Lysander looked to Lynn for answers, but Lynn, utterly bewildered, could only shake her head in
response.
Lysander cleared her throat subtly, then gently pushed open the door to the ward.
Upon entering, she saw Prisci who was pale and hugging her nket. She looked like a broken
puppet, devoid of spirit. Only when she saw here in did a faint glimmer of life return to her
eyes. “Lysander.”
“Do you feel any better?”
The corners of Prisci’s lips twitched slightly. “A little.”
“Oh, so you’re the doctor in charge of treating Prisci, right?” Helen greeted warmly, eagerly
grabbing Lysander’s hand.
Her hand was slender and bony, but it held a surprising strength. Her grip was so tight that it
caused Lysander some difort.
This difort wasn’t merely due to pressure, however. It resembled more of a piercing sensation
from a sharp object on the palm, resulting in intense pain.
She had something hidden in the palm of her hand.
It was a rectangr object and was somewhat thick
Lysander wanted to pull her hand away, but Helen gave her a mischievous smile. She ced her
other hand on top of Lysander’s, patting the back of her hand gently. “Doctor, there are some things
we’d like to understand.”
Lysander began to sense it
Sheughed softly without any change in her expression, pulling her hand back with force. “Feel
free to ask anything you want to know as long as it’s something we can disclose. We’ll tell the
expectant mother and her family truthfully.”
Helen chuckled. “Of course, of course. I’ve been setting up a nursery at hometely, but I can’t
decide on the color of the bedding. Doctor, what do you think? Should I go for pink or blue?
Upon hearing that, Lynn immediately understood and swiftly gave Lysander a knowing look.
Chapter 122 Pink Or Blue
Having worked in the obstetrics and gynecology department for so many years, naturally, Lysander
understood as well.
“Any will do. The color doesn’t really matter. But it would be best if it’s pure cotton. It’s breathable
and better for the child’s skin.”
Helen was initially taken aback, but then she chuckled knowingly. “As expected of Central Hospital,
the doctors here are truly exceptional.”
As she spoke, she pulled something from her pocket and rubbed it against the palm of her hand
once more.
Although it was just paper, the increasing thickness made its edges all the more piercing against the
skin, causing Lysander to wince in pain.
Helen held her tightly with both hands, her face already showing a hint of disdain and mockery. “Let
me ask you another question, then. Should we raise this child to be strong and assertive, or gentle
and considerate?”
“It’s about bncing toughness and tenderness, but it also depends on the child’s own personality.”
“So, when I share the news with rtives, should I say we’re blessed with a precious son, or we’re
blessed with a priceless daughter?”
Lynn couldn’t hold back anymore and interjected, “Just as long as you don’t say you’re blessed to
be a father.”
Lysander looked back at her, a hint of annoyance in her eyes. Lynn, in response, lowered her gaze
and yfully stuck out her tongue. Text property ? N?vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Helen nced at Lynn and let out a chuckle, “Oh, I see, there’s another person here. I should
prepare two portions, right?”
Lynn was clueless about what Lysander was pressing in the palm of her hand. She asked in a
somewhat dazed manner, “Two portions?”
