heard you were injured. I know you don’t like me, so… I didn’t dare toe and visit you as I was
afraid of affecting your mood.”

moment. Afraid of losing control of her emotions, she forced a smile and excused herself, “Old Mr.
Lawson, Old Mr. Sanders, Ang… I have something to attend to, so I will take my leave now. I will
visit you next time.”
No one responded. Fanny was so infuriated that she swiftly exited the ward.
As soon as she left, the two elders ceased their conversation and stood up.
“Well, it’s gettingte, Ang. You should get some rest.”

capable wife. I can trust him with the family.”
