    to the queen’s side. “Mother,” he asked sullenly, “what are you trying to do?”


    “This peasant dared raise a finger against you,” the queen snapped at her son for his gantry. “As a


    punishment befitting the crime under ourws, I’m having him arrested and put in jail.”


    Aaron agreed with his mother. “It’s indeed a crime to beat the prince in his own country, Ari,” he said as


    he turned to look at Arielle. “Nobody in Turlen is above thew.”


    In truth, Aaron had an ulterior motive. Having intensely disliked the bodyguard from the moment he saw
