    Bernard felt a pang of jealousy. He knew that once at home, Eleanor would shift her focus to their son.


    “You’re not fully recovered yet. Let’s wait until you’repletely well.”

    silenced her with a kiss, “Let’s talk about it when we get home. For now, let me kiss you.”


    He knew that once home, Eleanor’s attention would be divided. It was best to cherish this quiet time in
