"Hayden is always like that, even when he is happy!" Robert did not notice any difference.
"I''m getting married soon, but Hayden didn''t offer to help with nning the wedding," La said in confusion. "Besides, does he need to teach Ivy how to drive thiste at night?"
"I guess something is odd now that you mention it. I will go check on them!" Robert ran off.
Ivy had not expected both her brothers to teach her how to drive and though she felt nervous before, she felt more rxed in Robert''s presence.
"Ivy, just think of the car as a toy. You''ve seen kids when they y with toy cars, haven''t you? This is your toy car now," Robert said as he sat in the backseat.
"Don''t listen to him. You need to be more focused when you are at work and when you drive. Once you are on the road, anything can happen," Hayden said.
"Hayden, you are scaring her. Even if she doesn''t drive, idents can still happen when she is walking on the road. Whatever you do, anything can happen," said Robert. "Just focus like you normally do. Getting too nervous might just be the thing that causes the ident."
Hayden shot Robert a cold look through the rearview mirror, and Robert immediately quieted down.
After giving Ivy the rundown on how things work, Hayden told her to start the car and begin driving.
"Don''t worry. I will be right next to you and help when something happens." Hayden was not worried that Ivy would make a mistake.Content (C) N?v/elDra/ma.Org.
Ivy could sense her brothers'' trust in her, and since Hayden had only instructed her to go straight, she obeyed and drove as slowly as possible.
Robert came close to falling asleep in the backseat, while Haydenplimented Ivy patiently.
After an hour, they returned home and found that Mike and Chad had left, but La and Eric were still there.
"Ivy, how did it go?" La asked.
"Not as difficult as I thought it would be. Hayden said I need to practice more."
"Yeah. Just practice during the day. There might not be a lot of cars on the road at night, but the visibility isn''t as good." La had been waiting for them to get home to say goodbye. "We should be going now. I wille and hang out with you once I get a break from work."
The family saw La and Eric off.
As they drove off, Avery stared into the night emotionally and said, "Elliot, I finally understand why you''ve been so bitter about this.
After all the years we spent with
La, She suddenly found a home for herself out there. We used to urge her toe home sooner at night, and now, she is going home,
just not this home."
"It''s cruel," Elliot said.
Hayden, Robert, and Ivy fell into silence.
"Hayden, shower and get some rest." Avery realized that Hayden might be jegged and exhausted.
"Mom, La might be married now, but she will always be a part of this family. You can always get her to drop by whenever you miss her," Hayden said.
"I know. All four of you are such

wonderful children and I''m blessed to be your mother. Wherever you go, I''m happy as long as you are Avery exined. "I was just emotional because.... well, you will understand this one day when you have your own children."
Hayden was stunned at her words.
Avery had never urged him to find a girlfriend or get married, and he wondered if what she said was her way of urging him to have children.
