Eric''s house was not far from Elliot''s mansion, so La could go home whenever she wanted.


    Elliot could not help but feel impressed by his wife and daughter when he saw how much they had brought in that small amount of time.


    They had bought more in past years, and many flowers and nts were delivered to Eric''s house.


    Apart from nts, there were all sorts of light decorations andnterns, along with colorful balloons and pumps.

    "In the living room, of course! We will style them to form the words ''Happy New Year'' on the wall. Just imagine how festive that would look!" Avery said.


    Elliot nodded. "Indeed. Do you need my help pumping the balloons?"


    "Sure! You can help with that and hang the lights on the nts," Avery said.


    "Sure. You must be exhausted, right? You two should get some rest." Elliot picked up one of the pumps and started pumping balloons.


    "I''m fine. Shopping with Ivy is really fun and she is great at bargaining. I used to do that when I was young and slowly lost that skill after being with you," Avery said. "We will take you along the next time we go shopping."


    "Of course." Elliot was curious as to how Ivy bargained as well.


    Ivy had reunited with her family during the summer, and she had changed drastically. When she first returned to her family, she was timid and rarely spoke. After spending time with her family, she gained confidence and appeared far more cheerful.


    "Mom, Dad, look!" Ivy had hung a string of lights on one of the pine trees and turned the lights on. Instantly, the tree lit up in splendid lights.


    "That''s really pretty." Avery walked over to Ivy with a smile. "We still have so many LED lights left!"


    "We can put them on the bush outside!" Ivy said. "I will take them out now."


    "It''s cold out there. Let''s wait until after dinner."


    "Let''s have dinner after Robert gets home!" Ivy was too excited to feel cold.


    Seeing how insistent she was, Avery handed her a jacket and put on her own before going to the yard with Ivy.


    Elliot immediately turned on the lights in the yard even though it was 5 and the sky had notpletely darkened.


    It had been so long since Elliot''s mansion had been so lively.


    La and Robert had lived in the house before Ivy, and they were hardly as cheerful as her.


    Ivy was enthusiastic about decorating every corner of the house.


    "Mom, I think it''s drizzling. You should head back inside." Ivy felt a drop of water wet her cheek when she stepped out with her bag of light.


    It was a light drizzle, so Ivy intended to go inside after she hung all the lights.


    Seeing Ivy''s determination, Avery covered Ivy''s head with the hood on her coat and said, "I will grab an umbre."


    At half past six, Robert returned home, and for a moment, he wondered if he had gone into the wrong house when he saw all the lights andnterns in the yard.


    "Are we celebrating New Year''s ahead of time? New Year''s holidays haven''t even begun!" Robert muttered to himself and parked his car, before walking into the mansion to change into his slippers, only to find balloons all over the living room.


    "Ah! La posted on social media!" Ivy eximed when she came across a post.
