After expressing her gratitude, Ivy went to the dressing room to change and found Andrea there.
Recalling what the staff said earlier, Ivy could not help but take the initiative to talk to Andrea. "Why haven''t you gone home, Andrea?"
"There isn''t any public transport at this time." Andrea smiled gently. "Ivy, I''ve misunderstood you. All my ssmates told me that you managed to get into the internship program through connections, and I believed that for some time. Now that I''ve watched your show, I have changed my opinion of you."
Though Ivy no longer cared about how others saw her, she was still overjoyed to hear what Andrea said. "You were great as well, Andrea. I watched your show tonight."
"Hahaha. Weren''t you supposed to be memorizing your script at that time? You weren''t paying attention?" Andrea teased.
"I arrived at the station at ten, and by the time your show started, I''d memorized most of the script." Ivy unbuttoned her jacket to change.
"Ivy, I heard that you live near the university, right? There''s no bus or train service at this time, so how are you going home?"
Ivy froze for a split moment and said, "I''m going back by taxi."
"It''s expensive to go to the university from here by taxi, so I n on staying here until six and taking the train home."
Ivy blushed and exined, "It''s my first day at work, and my parents are worried about me, so they gave me money for the taxi."
"I see... I guess your parents are quite well off," Andrea said enviously. "Do you know that there''s going to be a poprity poll for interns here in the station? I asked around and the staff told me that all the winners of the polls in past years managed to be official employees of the station in the end."
"Oh. It hasn''t started, right?"
"The channel will be epting votes starting tomorrow afternoon. It''s not anonymous, and every person can only vote once." Andrea seemed concerned. "I haven''t figured out a way to gather votes. Have you thought of anything?"
Ivy shook her head. "I wouldn''t even know about the poll if you hadn''t told me about it."
"I see. Since your parents are supportive of you, they will surely help gather votes for your sake Not me, though. My parents are just farmers..." Andrea said. "I envy you." en.swhovels
Ivy wanted to say something but did not wish to lie, so she simply changed the subject as fast as she could and nced at her phone. "Andrea, the taxi I called is here. I will get going now."
"Sure! Be safe!" Andrea watched as Ivy left.
When Ivy returned home, she was surprised to find her parents and Robert waiting for her in the living room.
She felt both moved and guilty. "Why
aren''t you sleeping? I am going to
feel guilty if all of you stay up with
me." She set her purse down and walked over to pull her parents up from the couch.
"We slept and woke up when it was almost three," Avery exined with a smile. "This is your first day at work and we are all excited. We won''t stay up again."
"Okay. Go to sleep now! There are only a few hours until the sun rises!" Ivy urged.
"Are you hungry? Do you need anything to eat?" Avery asked.
"I''m not hungry. I just want to sleep," Ivy said.
"Get some rest, then. Remember to remove your makeup," Avery reminded.
"I know."
Once her parents returned to their room, Ivy turned to look at Robert. "Robert, go to sleep! I didn''t expect you three to wait for me to get home."From N?velDrama.Org.
