"You can''t create more than ten clones, can you?" utz changed the topic not minding the arrogant question that Lewis asked.


    But Lewis was in a turmoil. utz''s words struck in Lewis mind like a bolt of lightning. Even though Lewis tried to maintain a poker face to not give away his weaknesses but his pupils shook and his hands began to sweat profusely.


    Why was he feeling so shaken? It was as if his legs were swept off the face of earth.


    ''But...''


    It took Lewis a moment to realize that all of those don''t matter anymore. Whether utz knew about him or not, that doesn''t give them any more of advantage considering the situation he was in now. Hadn''t he achieved the perfect checkmate already?


    "Haha, how does that matter. I still won," Lewis shrugged as he raised his shoulders.


    utz smiled. "Looks like I was right."


    utz intention was the same from the very beginning. He wanted to figure out the limits of Lewis ss cause the clone skill was rather fickle minded. Different clone skills can have different limits.


    "Doesn''t matter. You are already finished. It''s Check Mate," Lewis replied as he scoffed. He leaned back creating distance from utz as he tucked his upper lip. Regardless his right hand firmly held onto the dagger that was pointed to utz''s neck. All of this was in preparation to perfectly execute what he was about to do.


    Lewis was about to slit utz''s throat when…something that he could never expect even in his dreams transpired.


    The clone that was holding a dagger on Selen''s neck, by some miracle, his hands began drifting away from Selena''s neck. It was as if Lewis had lost control over his own clone!


    Selena didn''t miss the chance. Now that her neck was free from the de''s cold touch, she bit the clone''s hand as if she was the most ferocious and hungry beast.


    Even the clone feels pain. it retraced his hand out of reflex from the pain that he felt from being bitten.


    Finding herself in a safer position she delivered a jab on the clone''s chest.


    "Take that!"


    The jab pushed the clone further away from herself. It was then that Selena drew her sword and shed the clone in a moment''s notice.


    *poof*


    The clone had sustained too much damage making it disappear into thin air.


    Meanwhile, the real Lewis was stricken with shock. His mouth fell open as he gasped.


    Lewis couldn''t even do anything to help his clone. With utz under his nose a moment of mistake here and there could get him killed. He could only watch as hisst clone screwed up.


    He couldn''t figure out the ''why'' and ''how'' of the things that had just transpired. His clones should have been like him. If so, why did his clone pull away its dagger? Lewis had no idea! His clones had never been so stupid before. His gaze was focused on the girl who had just killed his clone.


    utz took advantage of the confusion. He kicked the spirit sword lying in the floor causing it to leap in the air. utz imagined a kunai instead of his sword and in the brink of an eye his sword wriggled and transformed into a kunai in mid air. This was the Tosias''s Demonic spirit''s special ability. It could transform into any weapon!


    utz caught onto it before Lewis could realize.


    utz moved with absolute swiftness turning his head in such a way that he was out of Lewis dagger being struck on his neck. With a jab utz pushed his kunai into Lewis''s neck. It sank deep within his neck severing all of his arteries and nerve tissues. Blood tickled down the de as it had already severed the blood vessels.


    "Ugh," He screamed in pain as the kunai pierced his neck and that was thest sound that he had ever made. His body went limp as the kunai stuck into his neck. His body dangled in the air as the kunai was the only support that kept it standing. Such an irony, the very weapon that killed him had be his bodies sce after its death.


    "Tables have turned it seems. Or rather it was never in your favor in the first ce."


    utz held him by the shoulder as he pulled his kunai out.


    *Swish*


    Blood from the chest had its passage closed by the kunai. But now with it gone a fountain of blood sprinkled from his chest. He let go of his dead body.


    *thud*


    The body fell to the ground on its face with a thud. The blood trickled down his neck forming a puddle of blood with his neck as the stream for it... his neck the waterfall.


    "That was the end. Check Mate"

    With Lewis prey that had escaped and now Lewis himself utz had two kills. But utz intention from the very beginning was survival not to kill. But if survival requires him to kill then he would dly do so!


    "Let us go," utz said. Selena knew that it was directed towards herself. But Selena didn''t move.


    But utz hadn''t noticed Selena''s frozen legs. utz oblivious to everything turned around as he was strode to disappear into the forest.


    "Wait," Selena squeaked. This caused utz to halt as he turned around raising his eyebrows.


    Selena approached utz. Her right hand holding her left arm as she fidgeted uncontrobly. She wet her lips. One could easily figure out the state she was in. Her shoulders and hands were tensed as she pressed her lips together. Her usually glossy lips were getting dry by every second.


    She took a few hesitant steps towards utz.


    "Umm, can I ask something?" She clenched her arm tighter.
