Xu Ran, looking at the novice task 3 which had switched from ‘in progress’ to pleted’, sighed in relief as he entered his pet shop, shouldering a sack.
What an incredibly tough trip it had been.
Encountering a beast tide, and narrowly avoiding losing his life – it was safe to say Xu Ran had faced a set of rare circumstances. It was quite unlucky indeed.
Thankfully, all his efforts had paid off.
After closing the shop door, Xu Ran nced at Ziyun, who was busy biting into a small pack of purple sugar beans he’d been carrying. With no hesitation, Xu Ran clicked to ept the reward.
A startling sh of light quickly passed before his eyes, swiftly followed by a new sentence appearing in front of him.

Xu Ran was somewhat looking forward to it.
As far as he knew, raising pets requires a significantly specialized environment.
For example, a small pet bloke measuring one metre in length and fifty centimetres in width and height needed more than just a cage that could contain it. It needs a space where it could move freely.
Consequently, the minimum required space for a small pet is the equivalent of a room covering over ten square metres. If the pet requires more vigorous movement or has other special needs, then more space will be required.
As for medium andrge pet beasts, the need for space is understandably greater.
Adequate space for amodation is a hardware requirement, but an appropriate environmental setting is equally crucial. Different pet beasts have different living environment preferences. Hence, nning for different environment zones is necessary to ensure various pets arefortable.
Considering the system’s pursuit of excellence, it’s apparent that the current shop space won’t suffice.
So, how will the system resolve this post-refurbishment?

Xu Ran picked up Ziyun and the small bowl of purple sugar beans beside it, then proceeded upstairs.
Three hourster, a look of anticipation on his face, Xu Ran ‘clomp-clomp-clomped’ down the stairs, a frown forming on his face as he realised the first floor hadn’t changed a bit.
“Where on earth is the foster care feature?”
He incredulously walked a circle around the shop. The only noticeable change was a new price menu for fostering on the wall, with prices so high it felt like robbery. This sight was enough to make Xu Ran grind his teeth.
Unlike washing and protection prices, foster care prices consider both a pet’s strength and body type. The former determines the daily maintenance cost while thetter decides the need for pet amodation space.

Ziyun, nestled in Xu Ran’s arms, poked its head out, sniffing the air, its gaze falling on a door as if it had caught a distinct scent.
That door leads to the backyard of Starfire Foster Care Shop – a space around ten or so square metres – where Xu Ran had previously ced a stove to cook meals and store sporadic items.
At the moment, following Ziyun’s gaze, Xu Ran’s heart couldn’t help but palpitate a bit.
The system had taken the small backyard space for the fostering area?

With doubt in his mind, he pushed open that door and looked at his original backyard. His expression instantly froze.
The foster care function was indeed positioned in the backyard!

The original ground of the backyard had been reced by an underground entrance that was simr to an underground car park entrance and wasrge enough to amodate Large Size pet beasts.
That was it! If there was not enough space above ground, the powerful system could always expand space underground!
If one level wasn’t enough, it could go ahead and expand to two or three levels below ground!
Xu Ran perked up as he realized the system’s n in an instant.
“Come on, let’s go and check it out!”

now.

It had adopted a dynamic adjustment mode, which would adjust the environmentyout at any time ording to the quantity and attributes of the fostered pet beasts.
If all the pet beasts that were fostered belonged to the Fire Attribute, then the whole area would adjust to a volcanic environment suitable for them. If a pet of another attribute was added, the environment of a part of the foster site would change ordingly.
Moreover, it could adjust the istion condition, meaning pets that got along could visit each other, whereas those that didn’t could also live in peace.
After having taken a look around, Xu Ran could only express his feeling in one sentence.

“They’re not around here. Follow me, Uncle Du.” Xu Ran, grinning from ear to ear, led Du Heng to the backyard.
