Chapter 568 Courtyard Residence
As Cedric got out of the car, he instinctively moved to carry Natalie.
However, Natalie called out, “Lydia!”
“Yes, Miss.”
Just as Cedric was about to reach out, Lydia hurriedly approached Natalie, extending her hand to
carefully assist Natalie out of the car.
Listening to the surroundings, Natalie concluded that it was nighttime here.
A cool breeze swept in. It wasn’t chilly but rather pleasant, giving off the fragrance of flowers, some of
which she couldn’t name. The scent was delightful, creating a likable atmosphere.
Upon entering the courtyard, both Lydia and X held Natalie carefully to support her.
“Miss, be careful. There’s a threshold!”

Natalie couldn’t help but wonder about the ce Cedric had brought her to. There was the smell of
wood and a faint odor of paint, unfamiliar but pleasant. It instantly brought a sense of peace to her
heart.
“Sir, you’ve returned.” The butler said as he approached, bowing respectfully to Cedric.
Cedric nodded. “I’ll be staying here for a while.”
“Understood, sir. We’ve prepared everything for you,” the butler said respectfully.
Evidently, Cedric had informed them beforehand, and the ce had been tidied up.
Courtyard houses needed to be well–maintained forfortable living.
The butler led Cedric and Natalie to their rooms.
The courtyard was not toorge but warm, with dwarf pines and bamboo nted everywhere. Lydia
found the atmosphere pleasing. The small courtyard made the air feel even morefortable.
“Lydia.” As Lydia helped Natalie settle into a chair inside the room, Natalie ran her fingers over the firm
wooden surface.
“Yes, Miss? Would you like some water?”
“What is this ce?” Natalie asked with a frown.

Lydia spoke respectfully, “This is a courtyard residence, Miss.”
“A courtyard residence?”
“Yes, Miss.” As Lydia exined, there was a hint of regret in her tone.
Back when they were at Hillside Vi, Natalie had always talked about building a courtyard residence,
expressing her preference for Yuloria’s courtyard houses. She found the unique characteristics of such
houses veryforting.
She liked that kind of dwelling!
It was a pity that Natalie was here now, but she couldn’t see anything around her. It was distressing to
see her in this state.
Natalie furrowed her brow, showing a hint of seriousness.
A courtyard residence?
When Cedric arranged everything upon their arrival, he told Lydia and X, “Theyout of these rooms
has been modified for convenience.”
“Understood,” Lydia replied, taking note of Cedric’s words.
Cedric approached Natalie and sat beside her. Then, he took Natalie’s somewhat cold hand in his.
“The climate here is different from Simeria. It can get a bit chilly in the morning and evening. You need
to be especially careful now.”
Natalie withdrew her hand from his, clearly not taking his words to heart.
Cedric looked at her indifferent and distant demeanor.
There was a suffocating feeling in his chest, yet he showed no expression.
After all, this was something he had brought it upon himself. So, he now had to bear the
consequences.
“I had the kitchen prepare some local dishes from Yuloria. Would you like to have some?” he offered.
Natalie had always loved eating. She had always wanted toe to Yuloria to enjoy the local
snacks.
