Chapter 2015
"If not, would you even get a chance to get close to him?"
"There are so many women out there who want to be Mrs. Roberts. You''d be considered unconventional."
"You''re very smart. You know how to make good use of your strengths. It''s such a pity that you picked the wrong person. If you want to be the wife of the richest man in the country, it''d be much easier to do that through me."
He was well aware that Arianna who had forgotten everything, the one who loved and hated him, wouldn''t have a good impression of him.
Hendrix''s heart was hurting, but a smile appeared on his face.
"Just stay away from me. Forget everything, just like how you treated me with disdain today. You''ve done enough, let me fight through the pain," was his only thought.
If everything went ording to n, there would be a smaller risk of his ns backfiring.
Hendrix wanted to let me go, but then he saw the information that Evan brought back. All the dignity and stubbornness he had been holding on to, copsed.
Even at the risk of everyone discovering that his memories had returned, Hendrix still took Wynn along and moved out from the Marshall family vi to be Irvin''s neighbor.
He couldn''t confirm if Arianna had actually lost her memories. He could have had to use other methods to get Arianna away from Irvin. For this, he didn''t hesitate to act rashly and alert the enemy. He used several secret hideaways of the Marshall family to find Shirley and Irvin''s child. He wanted them to acknowledge him in front of Arianna.
Hence, the coboration, recement, and those harsh words. They were all part of his strategy to keep Arianna stay by his side with a false identity. He was afraid that she would remember everything before he had settled everything.
Aaron''s sudden appearance was beyond what Hendrix had expected. He had forgotten about Pedro being Aaron''s old friend, which gave Arianna a better chance of recalling the past.
As expected, after seeing Aaron, Arianna''s entire personality changed.
Hendrix, however, remained unbothered. It only meant that he had to move faster to prepare his counterattack. His first target was Jennifer.
Hendrix knew that Arianna had remembered everything. Although he couldn''t bear to be apart from her, she would always have the final say. Whether she chose to leave, or to stay with him.
It was expected, but he hadn''t seen iting either. Arianna had returned, which gave him incredible reassurance.
Back to the present, Hendrix was

living room, Iid my head against his chest while he held my shoulder. We leaned on each other, like a couple who had long experienced hardships together.

for a moment there, but
from the moment you appeared, the wall that had blocked my memory suddenly copsed. I remembered everything, including the time I was hypnotized."
Hendrix let out a sadugh and continued, "It''s quite ridiculous. My mind had been controlled by a small pocket watch."
I was a little disappointed. "I thought you would remember the face of the person who hypnotized you."
Hendrix ced both hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eye. "For a hypnotist, the item they use to perform hypnosis is like a calling card.
That alone is enough to reveal their identity. The pattern on the pocket watch is very unique. If we put our minds to it, we should be able to find some clues."
Looking at how serious he was, I suddenly felt ufortable. "I guess I''m more used to the obliging son-inw."
Hendrix didn''t respond for a
moment. He smiled a tired smile
and hugged me once again. "If you''re willing to bear it, from now on, I will be the son-inw of the Reid family. I was afraid you would get tired of it, me being a meanie."
"No!" I shook my head. "You are way more realistic that way, more like an actual person would be. I was d to see you like that every day."
He held me tighter. His voice was deep and hoarse, "Finally, it''s not a dream to feel your heartbeat again..."
