Chapter 1594
Just as I was sighing over Hendrix''s bizarre thought process, he tapped his fingers on the table and
pointed at the document, saying, "I fulfilled one of your wishes, and you should also do the same for
me. Sign it."
Seeing Hendrix''s confident face, I felt as if he set me up in a trap. Raising my eyebrows, I said as I
looked at him with a cold gaze, "Mr. Roberts, are you having a business negotiation with me?"
He asked me to sign the document while giving me Este "in return". What could it be other than a
business transaction? What was more, it was forced!
Hendrix raised the corners of his mouth, and his smile deepened. He had an inexplicable gaze as if
he was determined to take me down. He cooed, "This is between you and I, husband and wife. How
can you call it a business transaction? We''re just helping each other with our problems."
He spoke in a decent manner. After a slight pause, his expression changed as if he had been
ced in a difficult position. He sighed and exined, "You know exactly that there are so many
troubles in thepany, and that I''m already busy enough. It will kill me to find out that something
happens to you again. You can think of it as helping me worry less. Just sign it, will you, Mrs.
Roberts?"

As he spoke, he had already gotten up and walked behind me. Hendrix wrapped me in his arms
and even prepared a pen, waiting for me to sign on the paper.
I turned around, and Hendrix was looking at me with eagerness. It seemed that he really wanted me
to stay out of the business field, the lion''s den.
I thought about it and decided to have him take a step back by saying, "I can sign it, but you have to
promise that within two years, the GW Group financing shall not progress."
I had carefully thought about it. The preparation for pregnancy woulde to an end within two
years. Besides, I knew that with Hendrix''s ability, it was not a problem for thepany to stand firm
in Jarold City by making use of that period of time.
I knew that I couldn''t stop him from pursuing future development, but I hoped for more time for
preparation. My request was considered lowering the risk of our future.
Hendrix was a little taken aback. After thinking for a while, he smiled and promised, "Alright, I
promise."
Ten years was enough for me to distinguish whether Hendrix was lying or telling the truth. Looking
at Hendrix''s slightly curled lips and the delightment in his eyes, I knew that there was no need to
doubt him.
I took the pen and signed my name at the signature box. Hendrix immediately sent for someone to
bring the document to thewyer''s building.
As soon as the courier left, a knock on the door sounded twice. "Mr. Roberts, the representative of
GW Group is here."
When I heard that, my gaze immediately fell on Hendrix. I looked at him with a faint smile and gave
him a few winks. Wasn''t that a chance to prove that Hendrix wasn''t lying?
Hendrix understood and smiled. He then instructed Evan, "Bring them to the conference room."
"Okay." Evan nodded and left.
Hendrix walked past the table, took his zer from the clothes rack, and put it on. He said while
tidying up his clothes, "Let''s go, Mrs. Roberts. Since you still have the chance to make a decision as
a shareholder of Roberts Group today, let''s settle the thing with GW Group right now."
Hendrix wanted me in the meeting.
Why not?
I shrugged my shoulders and got up. Holding Hendrix''s hand, we headed toward the conference
room together.
The representative of GW Group was a blonde, blue- eyed foreigner. When we entered, he was
already sitting in the room.
Hendrix held my hand and approached him. He greeted, "Mr. Sean, we meet again. This is my wife,
Arianna Reid."
"Hello. Mrs. Roberts is beautiful indeed," Sean said as he took my hand and gently kissed the back
of it. He was being a gentleman, and he stepped back.
