Chapter 1591
I smiled gratefully at Silvia and responded, "Thank you, Silvia."
Ian was half a year older than me, so he was indeed my elder brother. It wasn''t inappropriate for me
to address Silvia by her first name.
"It''s nothing," Silvia said with a faint smile.
Since they weren''t going abroad, I thought they should at least leave an address, so I asked, "Is the
clinic still in Ucrebury?"
Before I could even finish my question, Ian turned around to y with Anne, as if he had the means
to avoid me. Silvia was quick-witted to uphold the surrounding atmosphere and exined to me
patiently, "It''s in Jarold City. Ian said it would be convenient for us to take care of my parents."
I nodded. Ian had a strong sense of responsibility since he was a child. There was no doubt that he
would care for the whole family.
Ian''s phone rang as soon as Silvia finished speaking. He went outside to pick up the phone. When
he came back, he said that he had an urgent affair to deal with. Ian then took Silvia by her hand and
left immediately.
When they had left, only did I remember that they didn''t leave a specific address. I hurriedly fished
out my phone and texted Ian on WhatsApp.
A red exmation mark popped out on the chat box. I gasped as chillness enveloped me to the
core.
Ian, he blocked me.
In disbelief, I sent another emoji, but the notification I received was still the same.Còntens bel0ngs to N?(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
"You''re not friends with this user. Please send a friend request."
Looking at Ian''s chatbox, I felt that the warmth on my body subsided all of a sudden, and my body
slightly trembled.
How was that possible?
I didn''t even know when this happened.
"What''s wrong, Arianna?" Raiya''s voice sounded from the side. Only then did I regained my senses
as I forced myself to remain calm, saying, "It''s nothing."
Raiya was an innocent person, and she believed it at once. She said to herself while stirring the cup
of hot chocte milk in front of her, "Arianna, your friend and his wife seem so sweet. I kind of envy
them. If I could have known Sawyer earlier, our rtionship would have been like theirs."
Feeling uneasy, I put my phone back into my pocket and gave a perfunctory reply. "Your rtionship
with Sawyer is not bad either. You just got married, and you''re already pregnant. It makes me envy
you two."
Speaking of it, Raiya''s expression changed drastically all of a sudden, and she immediately
switched the subject.
I was still thinking about Ian, so I didn''t press on. After hanging around for a little while, I made up
an excuse and left.
I had been staring at the red exmation mark on WhatsApp in a daze since I got home. When
Hendrix came back, I didn''t even notice his presence until I felt a nket covering my shoulder.
When I turned around, I found him bending down and had been standing behind me for a while.
"You''re back," I said. Then I turned off my phone and carefully put it back into my pocket.
But Hendrix still noticed it. After sitting down, he took my hand and fiddled with it as he tried to
casually bring it up. "Did you run into Ian?"
Judging from Hendrix''s tone, he wasn''t surprised that Ian had returned from abroad.
"You knew he was back?" I frowned and felt a little nervous.
Hendrix looked up at me. His gaze was gentle as
he let out a long sigh. He used his hand to smooth out the frown between my brows and then said
slowly, "I just found out. I haven''t thought of how I should let you know, and you''ve already run into
each other."
I was a little annoyed. "You should have told me earlier."
Otherwise, I would not have been put in such a difficult situation that I couldn''t even talk a little more
in front of Ian.
It was true that I really didn''t me Ian. I didn''t have the confidence to ask him for forgiveness, just
like how I had hesitated for a few hours, but still didn''t send out the friend request.
After I said that, I knew that Hendrix wasn''t the one to me. I copsed on the couch dejectedly as
if I was jelly. I then slid along the edge of the couch and half knelt on the carpet, throwing myself on
the table before burying my head in it to vent my anger. "Ah! I''m really useless!"
While throwing a tantrum, I couldn''t hold back and feared up.
