Chapter 1551
Hendrix held me in his arms, and his gaze fell on our reflection in the mirror as he watched me
brush my teeth. Then, he chuckled and said, "The reason why you want to dress up is that you want
to go back to school.”
I giggled and said, "A little, but I feel like I want to look good for you." I brushed my teeth and
struggled to get off him, but he set me down on the toilet bowl.
I looked up at him and frowned slightly. "What''s wrong? I haven''t washed my face yet."
His gaze fell on my feet. "It''s too cold to be standing in your bare feet. I''ll go and get you a pair of
slippers. Don''t get off yet." He said as he strode off.
He came back with a pair of slippers and asked me to put them on. He kissed me and said, "I''ll go
down to the kitchen and make breakfast. Come downstairs when you''re ready."
I nodded and proceeded to wash up by myself.
Since we were meeting up with Nerissa, I flipped through my entire wardrobe to find a nice outfit to
wear. I settled on something pink in color, and it was from that year''stest style lineup. I was not
certain when Hendrix had gotten this, but it didn''t look too bad. It had adylike vibe to it, and it was
a bit different from how I usually dress.
After getting changed, I sat down in front of the dressing table to put on my makeup and blow dry
my hair. I had not cut my hair in a very long time, and so it had grown out, down to my waist. Seated
in front of the dressing table, I took a good look at my hair, and I was particrly delighted with it.
Despite the length, my hair was still full and luscious. My face looked more radiant, and my smile
looked more rxed.
People always said that if you notice yourself bing more and more attractive after being
together with someone, this meant that the two of you were a great match for each other.
Thinking about it, it was true that I had been with Hendrix for so many years now. I had experienced
all kinds of situations and endured all kinds of hardships. Yet, everything still seemed so perfect.
It seemed like things now were even more perfect than before. I couldn''t help reminiscing on all
those sweet memories.

When I got downstairs, Hendrix had already prepared breakfast. He made oatmeal, and it looked
very appetizing. When he saw meing downstairs, he waved at me and said, "Come and have a
taste!" As he spoke, he turned around to grab a bowl and spoon.
I felt a little dazed at this sight. At that very instant, I realized that Hendrix and I had been with each
other for a long time now, yet at the same time, our rtionship still felt so new and exciting. Seeing
that I was in a daze, he couldn''t help smiling. "What are you thinking about? Why don''t youe
over?"
My train of thought was interrupted by him. I sat at the table, looked at him, and said, "When did you
learn to cook this? It looks amazing."
Hedled some oatmeal into a bowl for me and said, "I ate something like this back in Asherton,
and I liked it. I wanted to cook it for you when I got back."
I took the bowl from his hand, nodded with a smile, and ate a spoonful of oatmeal. It tasted
delicious, and I couldn''t helpplimenting him, "Mr. Roberts, your cooking is getting better and
better. Congrattions!"
He set down a te of fried eggs in front of me and said, "Enjoy your meal!" This was... was he
embarrassed?"
I lowered my head and continued to eat. The corners of my lips curled into a smile. Everyone''s waY
of showing love was different, just like Hendrix and I. After we got together, our lives seemed very
mundane, but these simple and trivial things piled up and became our memories.
