    The animals were woken up by the shock, and they roared. Naomi immediately retreated to one


    side, holding the taser baton in her hand.


    All the animals in the cage, now awake, stood up and stared at Naomi menacingly.


    Naomi raised the baton in her hand and took a stance. She looked at me, and her voice trembled in


    fear. "Use the knife and protect yourself!"


    I nodded slightly and started feeling frightened as well.


    A few of the animals walked out of the cage, ring at us with their sharp teeth exposed.


    Subsequently, one of the dogs walked toward Naomi. It seemed to know that Naomi was the one


    who had woken it up with the taser.


    My heart leaped into my throat. I stared at Naomi anxiously and uttered, "Naomi, what should I do?"


    She held the taser and said, "Arianna, I told you, we are gambling with our lives, so I have no idea


    what we should do next!"


    Looking at how the animals were heading towards me, my whole body began to tremble. I huddled


    up against the wall and stuck closely to it. I was so scared that my entire body was shaking. I held


    the knife in my hand and pointed it at them, but my body kept retreating.


    The ferocious dog roared, staring straight at me. Naomi said they had just been fed, and it was


    most likely that they wouldn''t want to eat us, but it didn''t mean they wouldn''t attack us.


    Perhaps because I was holding a knife, one of them pounced at me. I was too scared to resist. I


    screamed.


    All of a sudden, I heard the sound of a gunshot. In a split second, the animal that had pounced


    towards me copsed onto the floor. It struggled for a moment, then remained motionless.


    Before I could understand what was going on, I discovered that all of the animals had needles in


    their neck, and it was most likely that they had been put under sedation.


    "Misses, you shouldn''t provoke them!" Hodge was standing at the door with a few bodyguards, and


    looked at us with a cold expression.


    Naomi and I nodded. Naomi looked at Hodge and said, "Hodge, how is Sebastian? Has he woken


    up? How is he? Can I go see him?"


    Hodge frowned slightly and stared at her. "Mr. Milton is fine. He''s already awake. Miss Attwood,


    don''t worry."


    Naomi breathed a sigh of relief. Then, looking at Hodge, she said pitifully, "Hodge, can you take us


    to see him? I made a mistake just now, but Hodge, you know that I love him very much. I couldn''t


    bear seeing him fall in love with another woman..."


    Hodge nodded and sighed. "Let''s go. Don''t be impulsive in the future!"


    Then, Hodge brought Naomi and me out of the room. The animalsid on the ground motionlessly.


    After leaving the room, they locked the door, and we followed behind Hodge. Naomi nced at me,


    indicating that she was going to look for a way out.


    I nodded in response.


    Sebastian''s vi was too huge to be certain that we would not get lost and run into other dead ends.

    However, before we could react, an ear-piercing siren came from outside. Hodge frowned upon


    hearing it.


    He turned to the bodyguards behind him and gave them a look. All of them left immediately. I


    guessed that they probably had to hide all the illegal stuff in this house before whoever sounded the


    siren arrived.


    Naomi and I shared a nce. Finally, Naomi said to Hodge, "Hodge, why is there a siren outside?


    What happened?"


    Hodge was dumbfounded for a moment, and he answered with a smile, "Perhaps they are just


    taking a look around. Miss Attwood, you don''t have to be too worried, I''ll bring you to Mr. Milton."


    Naomi nodded repeatedly and said, "Is Sebastian in his bedroom? I''ll go and look for him." As she


    was saying this, she started sprinting in the direction of Sebastian''s bedroom. Hodge was probably


    afraid that she might do something, thus he picked up his pace and chased after her. I was walking
