    After lunch, since we were heading into the new year, Valerie and Nerissa spontaneously decided to have a barbecue together in


    the yard in the afternoon.

    Nerissa sat on the swing in the pavilion and looked at me, "Are you nning to hold another wedding ceremony with Hendrix?"

    Suddenly, she mentioned Irvin and looked at me as if she wanted to say something. "You should talk to Hendrix about the

    | pursed my lips and said, "Aunt Nerissa, there are some things that | can talk about, and things that | can''t. If | start mentioning

    She shot me a shocked look, then sighed. "This is all my fault!"

    When | returned to the front yard, the barbeque hadmenced. Hendrix handed me some barbecued chicken and vegetables


    and said, "Try them, but you can''t eat too much."


    | nodded and smiled, "Did you barbecue them?"


    He nodded. "Try them!"


    | found somewhere to sit and took a bite. Hendrix definitely knew his way around a barbecue pit; these were delicious! Thinking


    of the hot pot we made this morning, | could not help saying, "I don''t know if Aaron is there with Yana now. Aunt Nerissa cooked


    a lot of delicious food. Perhaps | should send some to her."


    Valerie was a fantastic cook, so the stewed soup came out very nicely, and with Nerissa''s help, the two of them made more than


    everyone could eat.


    Hendrix nodded, "I''ll get Evan to send it over
