Chapter 751
Nerissa calmly responded and handed the slices of grilled meat to him while | handed him the condiments. "It tastes better when
dipped in the sauce," | said.
He faintly smiled and did as told. He nodded and gave a pertinentment, "Not bad."
The sky gradually darkened. Soon after, Nerissa demanded that we leave. "My house is small, and | can''t afford to have you two
stay with me. You should leave once you''re done eating.”
Hendrix smiled faintly. After saying his goodbye, he pulled me into the car.
On the way back to the vi, | looked at the scenery outside the window nkly.
As | watched the scenery passing before me, | could not help but say, "Thank you, Hendrix."
He smiled and said, "I can''t really feel your appreciation from your ‘thank you’. If possible, | want to hear you say something
romantic."
| smiled. | reminisced the beautiful times we had as | tilted my head and thought about something romantic to say. My eyes fell
on his face as the lights bounced off from it.
Aromantic thing to say to Hendrix required thought, caution, and a lot of heart.
The car stopped at the gate of the vi. Time flew by, and we were already home.
After getting out of the car, he turned off the engine and walked towards me, "Are you done thinking?"
| smirked, "No, you''re always making things difficult for me. You know that I''m not good at sweet-talking.”
"You can try!"
| thought about it and looked up to the sky. When my eyes fell on his face, | said as | gave him a faint smile, "You''re all that |
could ever dream of."
He was slightly stunned by that. He shed me a dashing smile, then dragged me into the vi, evidently ted by what | said.
"Where did you get that from?" He asked.
| raised my head and pointed to the sky. "From the sky."
If we could love someone, we should love them passionately; giving them the best we could offer and bringing them joy, so that
we had nothing to regret about for the rest of our life.
The next day.
Nerissa called and she only had one question for me. "Did you take the medication?"
Her call caught me off guard and it took me a moment to remember her saying that | sounded nasallyst night, and that | should
take some medication for my cold.
| mumbled as | nodded, "Yes."
"The new year ising. We should start preparing for it since it''sing up. You should follow me out and buy something to
bring back home.”
She soundedmanding and not friendly at all.
| nodded and agreed.
Hendrix had things to attend to. | could not always follow him around.
After finishing some chores at home, | drove straight to the shopping mall since Fiona was not around.
Nerissa was waiting at the entrance of the mall. When she saw me, she pursed her lips andined, "If you didn''t want to
come, you could just say so."
| took the cart from her hand. | nced at the supermarket not far away and said, "Are we going shopping?"
She pursed her lips, nodded, and went straight in.
Then, she looked back at me and asked, "Do you know how to knead dough?"
| shook my head, "No, | don''t!"
She frowned, " We have to have
bread every new year. If you dant)
