Chapter 681
Eunice quickly said, "We bumped into each other in the yard downstairs. | hadn''t seen Miss Reid for years; | always wanted to
thank her, so we chatted for a bit."
Joe asked in confusion, "When did the two of you meet each other?"
“Four years ago!" As Eunice was talking, her gaze was fixed on Aaron. She smiled and continued, "If not for Mr. Aaron and Miss
Reid''s help four years ago, | would''ve ended up dead. Since we got to meet today, naturally I''d have to say my thanks to them."
| pursed my lips. | felt that there was more to her agenda than she let on, but I couldn''t point out what was amiss at the moment.
Aaron frowned slightly, as if he had long forgotten this person''s existence. But he had always been less talkative to outsiders, so
he kept quiet.
Yana was a little taken aback to hear this. She lowered her head and fell into silence once again.
Freya nced at Eunice with raised brows. "The two of you are really kind, saving a girl and helping her be a white-cored
worker today. Not bad!"
She was obviously saying this to me and Aaron.
After a pause, she continued, "Miss Hathaway, you don''t have to think too much of it. They have probably long forgotten this
incident.”
Eunice smiled faintly and said, "| was the one who was helped. I''m only where | am now because of them, so how could I
forget?"
Freya raised her eyebrows. "Why not marry them then?"
She was so blunt that Eunice instantly reddened.
Freya curled her lips. "The best way to show gratitude is to not cause disturbance, otherwise that''d be revenge. Isn''t that right,
Mr. Reid?"
Why did it sound as though she was insinuating something?
Aaron didn''t respond. The waiter came and served some soup. Aaron took it and ced it in front of Yana. His silence seemed to
mean that he agreed with Freya.
It waste when we exited the restaurant. Freya had a habit of sleeping early, so she left with Zachary a long while ago.
lan and Sawyer seemed to have something going on, so they left too. Only Eunice was left alone in
awkwardness.
When Sawyer left, he had asked her to take a cab back. But this was a private restaurant, so it wasn''t easy hailing a cab in this
area.
Hendrix didn''t seem to be in the mood to meddle in other people''s affairs. He pulled me along to get into the car.
| caught sight of Eunice say something as she stood next to Aaron and Yana. Then, Aaron nodded his head.
Afterwards, both Eunice and Aaron got into the car before it pulled away, leaving Yana standing alone outside the restaurant.
| was shocked. Did they have a fight? How could he just leave her there like this?
“We have to turn back!" | said, tugging at Hendrix''s shirt.
Hendrix nced at the rear view mirror, naturally seeing the person who was standing in the cold wind. He frowned.
He turned the car around and went back to the restaurant entrance.
| got out of the car and looked
towards Yana. Her cheeks had t d

brows and asked, "What''s going on?
Why didn''t you leave with Aaron?"
