Chapter 551
I was unsure of what to reply.
For a moment, warmth gushed into my chest and spread all over my body. It was as if my heart was
surrounded by his warmth.
"Okay!"
As soon as I spoke, my voice softened unconsciously.
I hung up the phone. Since I couldn''t sleep, I went to the study room and stayed up all night. But
because I had slept in the day, it was okay even if I stayed upte.
Minnie was very thoughtful when taking care of others. She came to the vi early and prepared
breakfast for me.

When she saw meing downstairs looking rather well dressed, she hesitated for a moment and
asked, "Are you going outter?"
I nodded, "I''m going to meet someer. I''ll be out for a while."
"Do you need me to apany you?" She asked, looking a little worried, "The dark circles under your
eyes are looking pretty bad. Did you wake upst night and could not fall back asleep?"
I nodded. Then, I took a few bites of breakfast and went out.
I didn''t want to go out at first, but Freya sent me a message informing me that she was currently in
Ucrebury. Since we were friends, I had to do my best as a host.
Since she mentioned being here, I had no reason to refuse her.
Before going out, I looked around the garage and found that the low-profile cars had been sent for
maintenance. The vehicles that were ready to be used look too conspicuous for my taste.
After a moment of hesitation, I decided to drive Hendrix''s ck Maybach. I thought that this car can
look rather ordinary and would help in keeping a low-profile.
Perhaps it was because I was not used to driving, so I drove at a turtle-like speed.
When I arrived at the meeting ce, I saw that Freya was already there.
When she saw me, she waved.
Freya checked all the boxes of being an heiress as she was drop-dead gorgeous and had a rocking
body. Plus, she was also from a wealthy family.
She was about two years older than me but she was not married yet. She was more of a career
woman.
She did things in an astute and decisive manner.
After I sat down, she didn''t say anything more and snapped her fingers to call the waiter over. She
looked at me and asked, "What do you want to eat?"
Since we were at a French restaurant, I shrugged and nced at her. "This is my first time, so I''ll be
needing your guidance."
She raised her eyebrows and immediately read out her order, "We would like to have one salmon
mousse, oyster carp soup, fried lobster, French fish rolls and an orange French toast." She paused and
pursed her lips, "That''s it for the time being. Thank you!"
After the waiter left, she stared at me coldly, "Your dark circles are no joke. What happened?"
"It''s nothing." I replied and nced at her after a pause, "Did youe to Ucrebury for work?"
She shook her head, "No. I decided to travel a little since I''m on my annual leave. At first, I wanted to
go abroad. But when I thought about it, I''ve already been to those ces, so there was nowhere left to
explore. That''s why I came here and invited you out for a meal. I wanted to have a chat with you."
I lifted my eyebrows, "That''s all?"
She nodded, "Of course. What did you expect?
There are only three priorities in my life - my parents, making friends and earning money."
I was speechless.
How winners in life defined life really differed from the rest of the human poption.
She looked elegant in her outfit as she took a good look at me and added, "Among all my friends,
you''re the one with the most boring life."
She was way too blunt.
I just grinned and didn''t reply.
I was shocked and looked up at her for a moment. The waiter came and served us our French fish roll.
She ended the topic and said, "Try it!"
I took a bite of this delicious-looking dish and it sure did not disappoint. After all, French cuisine was
famous for its wide range of ingredients used, and how delicate its dishes were.
"How is it?" She asked happily.
I seemed to see the me who had just graduated from college in her. I was not rich at that time, and
Monique and I would put in effort to dress well. Then, we would travel all over Ucrebury and even visit
other cities on weekends.
"Delicious!" I praised and couldn''t help but feel exceptionally rxed.
The waiter brought us a sorbet. She raised her eyebrows and cracked a gentle smile, "Have a taste!"
It was just as she had exined. The sorbet was tasty and it indeed helped with my appetite.
I gazed at her with a gentle smile, feeling much rxed. "If you wanted to introduce the characteristics
of French dishes to me, you shouldn''t have strayed from the topic in the first ce."
She shrugged and clicked her tongue. Soon, she remarked, "Arianna, do you think that everyone is
came here to see you."
