    I closed my eyes and said, "I can do this myself!"


    "I''ll feed you!" He stuffed the food into my mouth. I really didn''t want to bother him with something as


    simple as this, so I repeated myself. "I''ll do it myself!"


    After that, I picked up my cutlery, got up from hisp, and moved to the sofa.


    Although I hadn''t eaten yet all day, I wasn''t hungry at all. With my appetite like this, I didn''t feel like


    eating anymore after a few bites.


    Hendrix looked at me and frowned. "Finish your food."


    I frowned and forced myself to take another few mouthfuls. My stomach felt ufortable. I looked at


    him and said, "Take these cutlery away. I would like to sleep now."


    "I''ll stay with you!" He rang the bell, and Minnie came up to clear the tableware.


    I looked at Hendrix and said irritably, "Hendrix, I want to sleep alone."


    He frowned. "I''ll keep youpany!"


    As he said that, he got up and stretched his arms around me for a hug.


    After staying up all night, along with the fact that I was so annoyed, I suddenly got angry. I pushed his


    hand away and shouted, "I said I wanted to sleep alone. Can''t you hear me?"


    In my fit of anger, I identally aggravated my injury. I took a deep breath at the staggering pain that


    shot through my nerves.


    A sign of helplessness shed across Hendrix''s face. His brows furrowed and he held me firmly in his


    arms. "Be good. I won''t touch you, nor will I disturb your rest."


    "F*ck off!" I lifted my hand and pushed him away angrily.


    He pursed his lips, and his dark eyes were emotionless. "If it''s hurting that badly, let''s go to the


    hospital."


    "No!" I felt that I was about to be driven mad by Hendrix.


    He then held me up, scooped me into his arms and brought me downstairs. I was about to explode with


    rage and annoyance. "Hendrix, have you ever seen anyone going to the hospital for something like


    this? What should I say to the doctors? Do I tell them about your sexual abuse?"


    He pursed his lips and said, "It''s alright if you don''t want to go. I''ll apply the medicine for you. Then, you


    can rest."


    "Lunatic!" I didn''t want to talk to him anymore.


    Seeing that he didn''t try to refute that, he went back to the bedroom and helped me apply the

    After applying the medication, he got up, took his jacket off, andid down beside me. I felt a little

    "Hendrix, stay away from me. I don''t like the smell of cigarettes!" I pushed him and moved to the other


    side of the bed.


    He stiffened his body slightly and stood up. I thought that he would leave, but I didn''t expect him to go


    to the bathroom for a shower.


    He came back out shortly after. He dried his hair andid down again. He snaked his arms around my


    petite body and stated, "I don''t smell like cigarettes anymore."


    I pursed my lips and kept quiet. Then, I closed my eyes and readied myself for sleep.


    After tossing and turning a few times, I still couldn''t fall asleep.


    All of a sudden, he sat up straight in bed. He was startled, thinking that there were still traces of


    cigarette smoke on his body. "I''ll shower again!"


    I pursed my lips in silence. I got out of bed and looked around, only to find that the sleeping pills I


    brought back previously had gone missing.


    I looked at Hendrix with narrowed eyes. "Where''s the medicine?"


    He frowned and asked, "What medicine?"


    I grew more irritated. I raised my hand and pushed the intricate porcin vase off the table. "The


    sleeping pills, Hendrix. I want the sleeping pills. Where did you keep them?"


    He looked at me and asked quietly, "What do you need the sleeping pills for? I asked Minnie to have


    them removed."


    Seeing that I was irritated, he got up, got dressed in a hurry and said, "Let''s go to the hospital!"


    I pushed him away and said, "Hendrix, I''ll be fine after I take the pills, okay? I just want to have a good


    night''s rest. Must you really drag me around?"
