Chapter 339

    Chapter 339

I frowned in pain and felt anger rising in my heart, but I still tried my best to say calmly, "You''re bringing

me back because Andrea can''t satisfy you with her big belly now, so you want me to rece her?"

As soon as I finished speaking, he paused. He lifted his head, and his breath was heavy and loud with

anger. "Arianna, do you think that badly of me?"

"Aren''t you?" I asked, turning around to look at him. My gaze pierced into his red- rimmed eyes.

The temperature in the air was low.

A smile etched on the man''s handsome, indifferent face. He stared into my eyes as if his gaze was

made of sharp knives and said, "Okay then, I will grant you your wish!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he pushed me on the bed without allowing me to respond. His shirt

was aggressively unbuttoned in a sh by him. He snatched his tie from his cor and threw it aside.

After a moment of absent- mindedness, I suddenly realized what he was going to do. I tried to ignore

my rapidly thumping heart as I got up, ready to leave.

However, before I got out of bed, he held me down, pressing his body against mine, and enveloping me

in his unique presence. "Based on Irvin''s character, he wouldn''t force you to do that, would he?"

He sounded like he was speaking through gnashed teeth. "Let''s do something he wouldn''t."

Minnie was quite happy to see me back, so she came upstairs and served the dishes she had

prepared. She stood at the door and called out, "Arianna!"

Seeing Hendrix and me in bed, she stood at the door, startled.

"Get out!" Hendrix''s face wrinkled in fury.

Minnie had never experienced Hendrix''s anger. She was dumbfounded for a moment before she

hurriedly closed the door and went out.

"Ha!" I suddenlyughed and looked into his ck eyes. I couldn''t help but sarcastically say, "Now, I''m

d that the child is not alive. How sad he would be, with a father like you."

He stared at me grimly. He looked like he was trying really hard to keep the rage in him suppressed.

For a few seconds, I thought he would raise his hand to hit me.

    But he didn''t.

He leaned into my ear and whispered huskily, "Let''s have another one to see if he would be sad or

    delighted."

    I was shocked.

Hendrix''s thin lips pressed down on mine.

I didn''t realize it until it waste. I felt a numbing pain on my lips.

I couldn''t help yell out, "Hendrix, are you a dog?"

"Ha!" He sneered. "I''m d that you can still feel the pain."

    "Hendrix..."

Before he could say anything else, he froze all of a sudden, his breathing heavy.

I looked at him and followed his gaze. He was staring at the scar on my belly; the one that looked like a

    centipede.

He raised his hand to touch it, but I pushed him away before he could.

I asked, "What''s wrong? Have you lost interest after seeing this scar?"

When he looked at me, his eyes overflowed with pain. Seeing how much he was in pain, I began to feel

that situation was bing more and moreughable.

His gaze was deep and it was hard telling what he was thinking of. He asked softly, "Does it still hurt?"

This question suddenly drove a needle- like pain into my heart, and I struggled to breathe.

I stood up and pushed him away. My face was void of all emotion as I put on my clothes. "Hendrix,

you''re much more pathetic than I thought you were."

I turned around and went downstairs.

Minnie was in the kitchen. When she saw me going downstairs, she looked at me and asked

awkwardly, "Arianna, are you hungry? Heather and I cooked something for you. Why don''t you have

    something to eat first?"

I shook my head, "No, thanks. I''m heading out for a walk."

I was a little surprised to meet Andrea at the door of the vi. But after a bit of thought, I realized that

this was nothing out of the ordinary. I saw her holding her belly as a nanny helped her out of the car.

After she said something to the driver, the car took off. Then, the nanny helped her walk towards the

    vi.

She saw that I was leaning against the door with my arms crossed, looking at her coldly. She then

stopped in her tracks, the smile on her face fell and was reced with a look of surprise before

    eventually turning cold and distant.

"Miss Burton, good morning. Your belly''s getting bigger. Don''t you want to move in?" I really didn''t

mean to satirize her. I simply felt that it was not appropriate for a pregnant woman to go back and forth

    like this.

After all...was she not a nobledy?

She pursed her lips. Herplexion looked poor. She looked up at me in a hostile manner. "Don''t you

hate Hendrix? What are you doing back here?"
