Chapter 1505
The car sped through the night; all around thendscape was illuminated by bursts of mes and
punctuated by the echo of distant sobs.
Patrick had single-handedly turned the entirety of Inner Ind into a living hell.
Maja leaned into Ian''s embrace, feeling the rise and fall of his chest, her eyes stinging with unshed
tears.
Ian held her in silence, his hand gently patting her back in a soothing rhythm.
They reached the spot where Oliver had been waiting for them, and found him standing in the yard,
staring into the fiery horizon.
His eyes went wide with shock at the sight of Ian.
"Man, I thought you were a goner!"
He rushed forward, and upon seeing that Ian was unscathed, he let out a sigh of relief.
Ian nced skyward, and Oliver followed his gaze.
Helicopters were swarming above, but their allegiance was unknown.
"Oliver, get in the car. We''re running out of time."
Without hesitation, Oliver swung open the car door and hopped in.
Chaos reigned in Inner Ind, and as a result, the road to Outer Ind was eerily deserted.
Ian floored the elerator and barreled through all the checkpoints, leaving them in tatters.
When the roadblocks crumbled, those who had longed to venture into Middle Ind or Inner Ind saw
their chance, and swarmed toward the breach.
The citizens of Outer Ind were desperate to get into Middle Ind, and those from Middle Ind
were aimed for Inner Ind.
The once empty streets were now teeming with a mass of people rushing inward, as though the
apocalypse was nigh.
Oliver, sitting by the window, watched the desperate crowd with a cynical smile.
"It''s like a siege, isn''t it? Those outside want in, and those inside are dying to get out."
He closed his eyes after speaking.
Ian parked at the South District Mental Hospital.
Someone was already there waiting for them and quickly led them inside.
As the door opened, a dozen or so people in white coats were bound and sitting on the floor.
"Mr. Raymond, these are the doctors who tried to flee."

"Where is the person I''m looking for?"
"In the basement."
Ian immediately headed down, with Maja still cradled in his arms.
The basement was airtight, a ce where long-term residency was sure to take a toll on one''s health.
The woman in the room couldn''t see or hear; her eyes were wrapped in cloth, and she sat in silence by
the bed, with her ankle chained.
The room had an attached bathroom, and every sharp corner was padded with cloth.
She was dressed in white, and though she was in her fifties, she looked a decade younger.
How could they possiblymunicate with a woman who is blind and deaf?
Ian had no other choice but to address a person nearby: "Take her with us. Before you guys checked
this ce, were there any other suspicious people?"
Ian was sure that the woman before him was Cynthia Abbott.
"Take her."
He held Maja and turned to leave.
Frowning, he was at a loss as to what had happened.
It was then that Maja spoke, "I heard the sound of electricity leaking." New ch?pter av?ble o?

Ian carefully set her down, "I''ll go check."
Maja couldn''t move at all, so she just blinked her eyes.
But when her gaze fell upon the woman lying on the ground, her heart clenched tight.
Who had locked Cynthia here, robbed her of her sight, and rendered her deaf?
Her heart ached with pain, yet her eyes remained fixed on the fallen trio.
Outside, the sounds of explosions were still heard at intervals; Outer Ind was descending into chaos.
They were running out of time.
