    Chapter 1286

Murray was so furious that his eyes were rimmed in red, wanting nothing more than to brand the word

    ''whore'' on Zoey''s face.

Zoey found it all rather amusing, wondering what authority this man thought he had to use her of

    anything.

Without wasting words, she raised her hand to close the door, but Murray swiftly bypassed her and

    entered the room.

The scent in the room had mostly faded, but her clothes from the previous night were still strewn by the

window, revealing the nature of the evening''s activities.

The clothes she was now wearing were her own.

    N?vel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

In a tone of contempt, Murray pointed to the window, "He really did a number on you, didn''t he?"

His words were a direct affront to her dignity.

Zoey raised her hand to p him, but this time, Murray caught her wrist.

"Did I say something wrong? If you''re brave enough to stoop so low, then don''t be afraid of being

exposed, Zoey. I''ll tell your mother straight away that you''re selling yourself."

Zoey''s face turned pale. She had worked hard over the years, paying hefty sums to buy back some

semnce of familial affection. She couldn''t let Murray ruin it all now.

    "Get out," she demanded.

Murray smirked, his gaze raking over her figure.

"I guess your man wasn''t all that, otherwise, how would you still have the energy to yell at me? Evelyn

is always so tired after our encounters. She doesn''t have the energy to argue. Zoey, if you''re ever in

need of a man, you can alwayse back to me. Whatever he''s paying you, I can match."

Zoey felt a wave of nausea. Once again, she regretted her past blindness.

    She took a deep breath.

"He paid $300,000. Can you match that?"

Murrayughed in disbelief, "$300,000, just to sleep with a woman? Don''t kid yourself, Zoey. Do you

    think you''re some diamond?"

Zoey threw a vase at him.

"Get out, if you can''t afford to y, don''t pretend to be a big shot!"

Murray left the room, his face flushed and his eyes filled with spite.

Once he was out of the building, he called Zoey''s mother, Belinda, and spilled the beans.

    Belinda was livid.

"I knew that girl couldn''t be tamed. Used to try and seduce my man. Now she''s selling herself. Just a

shameful creature. If I''d known, I wouldn''t have wasted money on her education. She could have made

    more money as a courtesan."

"Murray, thank you for telling me. She used to have a good man like you and didn''t cherish it. Now that

you''re married, it wouldn''t be right for you toe back to her. If you still think she''s worthy of you, just

    keep her as a mistress."

    Murray pretended to be hesitant.

"Belinda, the people she''s involved with now is a mixed bag. There are risks. If you can convince her to

settle down, I could give you $50,000 as a retirement fund. I''ll take care of her from then on."

At the mention of $50,000, Belinda''s eyes lit up.

"Murray, you have my word. I''ll talk to Zoey right away."

Murray knew what kind of woman Belinda was. Money was her weakness. As long as the price was

right, she''d sell her own daughter, even if it meant having her be someone''s mistress.

"Alright, Belinda. I''ll await your news."

With a satisfied smile, Murray hung up the phone, casting a cold nce at the building behind him.

Well, well, the woman who was destined to lie beneath him thought she was so high and mighty. He

    could afford to wait.
