Chapter 1152
Maja found it amusing. After all, it was Ian who initiated everything. What''s that got to do with her?
She swiftly shook off Judith''s hand.
"So Ms. Sanders, you’re upset because you were eager to be someone''s girlfriend, but got rejected.
Now instead of venting her anger on Ian, you’reshing out at me, is that it?"
Judith was convulsing all over, her finger shaking as she pointed at Maja''s face.
“I’ll kill you!”
She hurled her purse at Maja with all her might. Maja, in an instinctive move, fended it off.
The purse bounced back, hitting Judith right in the head.
Judith saw stars dancing before her eyes and then fell back, passing out.
This time, she was genuinely upset, feeling a sharp pain in her heart.
Even her feigned helplessness didn''t manage to separate Ian and Maja. It seemed her heart disease
was herst resort!
She had to get her parents toe to Greenfield personally to settle her marriage with Ian.
Seeing her fall, Maja wasn''t sure if she was pretending or not but she called an ambnce anyway.
Soon, Dn and Beck heard about Judith''s hospitalization.
Dn rushed to the hospital, while Beck called Maja.
“You''ve really stirred up trouble this time. Judith''s heart condition red up. We''ve been protecting her
all these years, and her heart disease has been under control. This time, my parents will definitely
Beck was genuinely worried. He also had a feeling that his brother was scheming something behind his
back, and even their father seemed to be hiding something from him.
Among the Sanders family, he was probably the only innocent one.
He really liked Maja''s character, but he couldn''t do anything for her due to his position.
By now, Maja had returned to Rosewood Manor and realized she had got into trouble.
She rubbed between her eyebrows and sighed slightly.
"Mr. Sanders, thank you for the heads up."
"Maja, my mother is quite radical."
In other words, she’s been warned.
Maja was indeed troubled, but the Sanders family hadn''t arrived yet, so she had to handle her own
affairs first.
The next morning at nine, Ian''s car was waiting outside Rosewood Manor. She had nned to meet
him directly at the cemetery, but since he was here, she had no choice but to get in the car.
They didn''t bring anyone else, but her bodyguards followed in another car.
Ian noticed after just a mile.
"Your people?"
"Yeah, things have been a bit unsettledtely."
She sat in the passenger seat, looking out.
Ian felt distressed. He didn''t know since when they had started to have nothing to talk about during
their meetings.
Their time together was so short. They had been married for three years, but they had only had
conflicts for a few months when he returned home. It seemed they had never really talked.
His hands tightened on the steering wheel, and the car quickly stopped at the cemetery.
Maja got out of the car, looking at the dense tombstones. She remembered a time when she went back
to her hometown, with four grave mounds behind her. It was so quiet, as if she was the only one in the
world.
She followed Ian. The path was slippery due to a recent heavy rain. It was a bit hard to walk even with
the steps.
After a few steps, a hand was offered to her.
Looking up, she met his gaze. "I can manage."
Ian didn''t say anything. He withdrew his hand and kept it by his side.
After about ten minutes, they arrived at Holden''s tombstone.
She wasn''t sure what to say, recalling all the things he had done for her. In the end, she decided to
bow.
But as she was about to do it, Ian held her.
"Be careful with the slippery ground."
"I''m fine."

He seemed a bit angry, holding her all along.
Maja was speechless, but then he said, "Grandpa Holden won''t mind."
He didn''t tell her that his grandfather had wished them to part ways on his deathbed.
