Chapter 1021
In frustration, he hung up the phone, Judith''s questioning echoing in the room.
“Seemed like you and Maja are pretty tight.”
Beck took a seat nearby.
“Sweetie, just listen to Ian''s boastful tone. He''s not into you. He''s got someone else he likes, and you''re
just cramping his style.”
Judith smirked, a tight smile pulling at her lips.
“Beck, the point isn''t whether he likes me or not. It''s whether I want him. If you won''t help, I''ll just ask
Big Brother."
Beck frowned. Big brother would do anything for his little sister. Plus, with Wind by her side, getting rid
of Maja would be a piece of cake.
“Beck, you''ve been hoodwinked by that wench too. You can leave and I won''t bother you again.”
Hearing her say this, Beck felt a pang of loss. After all, Judith was the family''s little princess. Everyone
had to pamper her due to her heart condition.
“Have you taken your meds? Wind told me you weren''t feeling well. Should I help you take them?”
He skillfully picked up the medicine from the coffee table, fetched a ss of warm water, and tried to
feed it to her. But Judith swatted his hand away.
“Do you like Maja?”
“Just friends.”
Judith lowered her gaze, “Does she mean more to you than I do? Would you let me suffer for her
sake?”
Beck looked at the ss of water in his hand, unsure what to say.
“Or maybe, Beck, you never really liked me. Because of my illness, everyone at home is focused on
me. When you were sick for three days, no one even noticed because they were all busy taking me to
the hospital. You resent me, don''t you?”
Beck’s face turned serious. He ced the ss on the table, his tone bing stern.
“Judy, you''re my sister. I''ve never thought that way. I think you shouldn''t be the third wheel since they''re
both in love. You''re a Sanders, and you can have any man you want. There are plenty of men out there
better than Ian.”
“I want Ian!!”
Judith angrily swept the cups off the coffee table as she yelled that.
Beck was used to a life of luxury, and no one dared to act out in front of him. But since she was his
sister, he indulged her temper.
He took a deep breath, gently patting her head.
“Alright, what do you want me to do? But I''m telling you, I won''t agree to anything too underhanded.”
A smile instantly appeared on Judith''s face. She grabbed his sleeve and shook it yfully.
“Beck, I knew you''re the best. Just keep quiet when Maja asks you for help. That''s not asking for too
much, is it?”
A struggle shed in Beck''s eyes, but seeing the bottle of medicine on the coffee table, he didn''t want
his sister to get sick. He reluctantly nodded.
“Fine.”
As he left the mansion, he lit a cigarette.
Beck was a yboy, but he had his principles. He wouldn''t mess with anyone who was taken or
married.
That''s why he thought Judith was overstepping her boundaries.
His phone rang again, it was Ian.
“I texted you the restaurant''s address. Be there at seven.”
Beck was already irritable. Hearing Ian''s voice only made him angrier.
“Don''t get too cocky, you might get dumped anytime.”
Ian couldn''t be bothered with this nonsense and hung up.
In the evening,
Maja had been working overtime all day. Recently, Simstar Entertainment had been releasing
announcements, firing all involved high-level executives, but that was about it.
N?vel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
The relevant authorities hadn''t taken any action.
But Maja was content. After this ordeal, Simstar Entertainment was severely weakened. Companies
that originally wanted to coborate with Simstar Entertainment were now approaching the Star Movie
group.
Taking advantage of this, Maja absorbed many of Simstar Entertainment''s business sectors.
So she had been swamped. She had dinner ns with Ian, and remembering her previous agreement
with Beck, she wanted to inform Beck herself. But Ian said he would handle it.
At half past six, there was a knock on her office door. As soon as she said, “Come in.”
The door opened, and Ian, dressed in a suit, appeared.
Seeing him made Maja blush, remembering their escapade in the office the previous night.
Ian ran his slender fingers over the spot where she sat, his eyes meaningful.
Their eyes met, and she quickly spoke up.
“Ian, drain out whatever dirty thoughts you have in your head!”
Ian chuckled lightly, “Maja, I didn''t say anything.”
But his eyes said it all.
