Chapter 343
She took a deep breath, hearing Glenn Pennyfeather wreaking havoc outside.
Glenn had been in a foul mood these days, losing his temper over the smallest things.
There hadn’t been a major sh between Maja and Carlene, and Glenn was on edge with Dana being
shipped off abroad.
Tricia didn’t give a damn about the Pennyfeather family’s future. She didn’t care how much of the
inheritance she’d get. All she wanted wasn. Only withn would her life be perfect.
She pushed open the door and went outside.
“Cool your jets, Glenn, Dana’s gone, andn’s clearly siding with Maja, but we still have a shot.”
“A shot at what! Tricia, you may not know this, but Neil was hospitalized after he found out Cristina
Perkins and Carter Booth were having an affair. Once he wakes up, our whole family’s gonna hit rocky
waters, Cristina’s shares will be reimed, and then the Pennyfeather family will be entirely Maja’s!”
Tricia’s eyes widened in shock; she hadn’t known about Neil’s hospitalization. Her face turned sour.
Glenn took a deep breath.
“We’re running out of time. I thoughtn would divorce Maja immediately to protect Carlene. I could’ve
made Maja’s life a living hell, and Holden Raymond wouldn’t have said a word. Cristina would’ve tried
to keep Neil unconscious, and the Pennyfeather family’spany would’ve been ours.”
“But as you can see, Maja hired two bodyguards, and Cristina hasn’t seeded yet. Now, even

Carter’s in the hospital, and I’m starting to wonder if someone found out about Cristina and Carter.”
Tricia went pale. She didn’t want to go back to being poor!
Taking a deep breath, she scoffed.
“Our grandparents are already involved. Let them create a scene at the hospital, saying they want to
see Neil. Those two bodyguards can’t handle rowdy old folks. If they hurt them, they won’t be able to
afford thepensation.”
Glenn chuckled.
“Not a bad idea; at least we can keep Neil unconscious for now. To stay in the Pennyfeather family,
he’s gonna have to take one for the team.”
They didn’t care about Neil.
Glenn was blind with rage.
Tricia only hadn on her mind.
To them, Neil was just an obstacle that could be sacrificed anytime.
Somewhere in Greenfield.
Abram Pennyfeather and Hattie Zimmer watched Ferris Pennyfeather walk in with excitement.
“So, did the bank approve the loan?”
Ferris Pennyfeather, Neil’s brother, had gone to a prestigious university.
Back then, they were poor, and although Neil also got into university, their family could only afford
Ferris Pennyfeather’s tuition. Even Neil, who was only a teenager, had to work part–time to pay for
Ferris Pennyfeather’s education.
Ferris was now forty–eight. A difficult age when he had to support both his parents and children and
constantly feared beingid off.
If he got fired, the monthly mortgage of three thousand dors would suffocate his family.
But a few days ago, his parents found Neil and got thirty thousand dors from him. He heard Neil lived
in a vi in Greenfield.
A regr house in Greenfield cost between seven hundred thousand and eight hundred thousand
dors, and a vi in a less popr area was worth two million dors. Plus, Neil had his own
He’d been feeling down this month because thepany was about toy off employees, and was
afraid he’d be on the list.
He’d been working at thispany for more than twenty years. His sry had risen to four thousand
dors a month from six hundred dors a month.
To make the down payment for the house, he and his wife had to sell the old house andnd in the
vige. They barely scraped together enough money, using up all their savings.
Luckily, his family never interfered with Neil’s life. Otherwise, Neil would’ve gotten a share of these
assets.
Just when Ferris Pennyfeather was anxious, his parents suddenly told him Neil was living in a vi in
Greenfield. He was gobsmacked!
He thought his parents were deceived. Neil didn’t even go to university. How could he afford a vi?
It made him, a prestigious university graduate, feel embarrassed.
