Chapter 333
Maja froze, looking at the photo Carol had snapped, her brows furrowing.
The woman in the photo was the receptionist at the Pennyfeather familypany. Maja had seen her
face a few times on previous visits.
In the photo, Carter had the receptionist pinned down on the car seat, only her ankle showing, a high
heel hanging off of it. Clearly, they’d been doing the deed in the car.
Receptionists were usually pretty easy on the eyes, and this one had just graduated high school this
year. She was young, not even twenty.
Carter had been with the Pennyfeather familypany for years, was around forty, but never seemed
to have tied the knot.
She had a furrowed brow. Why hadn’t Carter ever married?
If he liked this receptionist, why not pursue her instead of sneaking around with her?
“Maja, Carter’s got a lot of chicks on the side. And he doesn’t mind sshing the cash, giving this
receptionist two grand a month. But she isn’t his only sugar baby; it seems like he’s got a few others,
three or four in total.”
Maja was suddenly enlightened.
Carter had been at thepany for so many years; his ie was indeed high, and his annual bonus
alone was over a hundred grand. Supporting a few mistresses wasn’t a problem.
“Maja, I looked into the ounts Carter’s been dealing with. One ount has wired him several
million, but the bank has privacy settings for high–level ounts. If I exposed it rashly and they found
out, the bank could get sued, so I couldn’t find out who owns the
ount.”
Who would give Carter several million? Could it be that partnerpany?
Please check at N/?vel(D)rama.Org.
“Did they give him the money recently?”
“No, that ount started wiring money a few years ago. It’s always been the same ount with more
than one transaction. Because the other party is a VIP at the bank, I couldn’t get any info, sorry.”
Maja noticed the marks on her neck, knew she’d juste back from Felix’s, and found it kinda funny.
“Don’t you get tired of hanging with Felix every day? Be careful. If your dad finds out, he might blow a
fuse.”
Carol red at her.
“With Felix’s face, how could I ever get tired of him? Whenever he talks to me in bed, I wish to stay with
him forever.”
Maja knew Carol was always blunt, and it made her blush.
“All right, I get it. He’s amazing.”
Carol found this funny and patted her on the shoulder.
“He really is amazing. Once you get a boyfriend, you’ll know. Maja, you’re still a virgin, aren’t you?”
Maja’s breath hitched, shes of memory going through her mind, including the words: “How about I
help you scratch that itch?”
She frowned, when was this? The nightn went back to his country?
She felt a heat rush over her, her face turning red.
On matters like this, Carol’s eyes were always sharp.
“Maja, you seem a bit off. Have you already done it with a guy?”
Maja wasn’t good at lying in front of her.
Carol immediately turned serious.
“Actually, it’s no big deal. People should live ording to fate, not be bound by rtionships. Ian
clearly isn’t into you; you’re trapped in this marriage, can’t be alone forever, and seeking a bit of fun is
understandable. But be careful to keep it hush–hush; no one can protect you if the Raymond family
finds out.”
Maja was a bit embarrassed, not wanting to continue the subject.
Carol had always thought Maja was reserved and never thought she’d go off and hook up with some
guy.
She felt like she’d found a kindred spirit and immediately nudged her shoulder.
“So, who’s the guy you hooked up with? Do I know him? How was it? Did it feel like stepping into a
whole new world?”
Maja’s cheeks turned even redder at her words, and she just said in passing, “It was okay, I guess.”
Carol immediately gave her a thumbs up.
“You cheated onn. You’ve got guts. But nothing to feel guilty about. He’s been cheating on you
forever, and he probably hooked up with Carlene a bunch of times in foreignnds. I’m so jealous of
Carlene. Getting to hook up withn and even touching his face is a win!”
Carol was all about a man’s looks, no wonder she was into Felix.
Felix was handsome, so it didn’t matter that he was broke.
Ever since Maja marriedn, Carol had always been going on aboutn’s face.
But everyone knew thatn’s looks were the least impressive thing about him.
